I would be happy to be wrong and get 26.0.2 today, but I am still feeling like this will align to new hardware. I could see 26.1 beta 3 today (public). Since we didn't see any hardware announcements, I don't think we get 26.0.2 today.

There are so many inconsistencies with liquid glass right now, especially in light mode. It’s more opaque in the Music app, but it’s very transparent and glassy in photos.

I’m thinking hardware announcements at 11am. That’s what I recall happened with m4 MacBook Pro too

I am hoping we get 26.0.2 today. My phone just crashed and repspringed this morning. iOS final release quality is no better or more stable than beta

... really sounds weird - but as stated in the article maybe only for the new iPad ... not for devices already having 26.0.1 installed.
If 26.0.2 would come this week there wouldn’t be a need to release a revised version of 26.0.1.

It’s very likely that 26.0.2 isn’t done yet and they’re going to release it next week. For the upcoming devices this week they’re going to release the revised update.

Because 26.0.2 isn't ready. They'll stick with 26.0.1 till next week when .0.2 comes out.

How do we know it is not ready for its primary purpose, which is supporting the new devices for a short while? Either way, we will know soon enough.

Presumably the new iPads won’t actually ship/release for a week anyway, so they’re hardly going to reissue 26.0.1 this week for announced devices that won’t actually be in customers hands for a week if not longer.

New 26.0.1 build could just be device-specific build new devices ship with and not be a "re-release" for all devices. 26.0.2 can still release today.

I think new build numbers for 26.0.1 simply coincide with what is loaded at factory. Simple as that. 26.0.2 can simply be an OTA for them during setup or after.

I believe iOS 26.0.2, if it exists, will be released this week only if iOS 26.1 is scheduled for the last week of October. However, if they postpone its release for the first week of November, iOS 26.0.2 could be released next week.

Don’t forget, the 20th might be most probably 26.1 RC or b4 if they stick to their schedule
I am assuming they won’t release 26.0.2 and 26.1 in such close proximity to eachother. At least a week in between them. I think there’s only been one instance where there was evidence they were testing a point update that they ultimately did not release - and even then I’m not sure I’m remembering correctly.
