I can only apologise, I looked on google and Gemini said it was, but then double looked and it was wrong17.3 beta 3 was released on the 9th Jan which isn’t MLK day.
Based on the pattern of past releases (which to the best of my knowledge hasn't been broken yet), the RC comes a week after both the dev and public beta are released on the same day. Since this has not been the case this week, I expect Beta 3 and not the RC to be released next week.
I maintain that a RC this week is not on the table.I think we will see a RC this week. There is no reason to have another beta. such a small update
So true.We don't need that 26.2.1 or 26.3 RC, we need 26.4 beta 1 😉
That’s very interesting. I wonder if we may get an RC this week then!!! 🙂👍🏻Would be great to get the RC this week / today. But I still thinking we have a beta 3 coming. But also the historical trends are all over the board for the x.3 update. Interesting enough though, in the past when beta 1 was extended it was only 2 betas and a RC.
26.3 - 2 beta so far (28 days for beta 1)
18.3 - 3 beta and a RC (22 days for beta 1)
17.3 - 3 beta and a RC (22 days for beta 1)
16.3 - 2 beta and a RC (27 days for beta 1)
15.3 - 2 beta and a RC (26 days for beta 1)
Good observation. If I had to guess, I'd suggest that the longer b1 period could have something to do with a reduced rate of bug reports during that period, suggesting fewer and/or less severe bugs in that release.... Interesting enough though, in the past when beta 1 was extended it was only 2 betas and a RC. ...
Same. Then maybe an RC 2 later in the week, and a public release next week. Maybe 26.4 the same week, but my gut says there will be a gap similar to last year between 26.3 and 26.4.Thinking RC today.
I would guess the update that would drop alongside new hardware would likely be the final version, not a beta. RC beta would plausibly be this week if that’s the case. Also matches past patterns. 👍🏻If there is new products coming next week maybe they will wait for the RC until them, not to sure, maybe beta 3 today and RC after the event?
My observation is that people in this thread favour an RC while those in the iOS 26.2 thread would prefer to have their bugs fixed.A RC release would be nice.
