iOS 26 Wallet App Will Let You Track All Your Packages

The tracking is still a bit up and down - but seems to have improved.

However, I don't rely on it - end up using Apple, vendor site and emails, and carrier site and emails. More or less, wonder about an order and wander through until I get the information.

Trouble is, the mismatch between vendor and carrier can already be significant. And we really can't expect Apple to do better than them. Just had a sequence something like this with the carrier:

At local depot awaiting delivery -> Out for delivery -> At local depot awaiting delivery -> Delivered -> At local depot awaiting delivery -> Delivered

But it had still not been delivered. Two or three days later, it arrived.

And the vendor site was out of sync as well.

If the vendor and carrier were spot on, it might be useful.

Looks like there is still an issue with Royal Mail.

I see how it can be confusing.

Today I bought something on eBay and paid with paypal.

Paypal sent me a link to track the shipment through their app.

eBay also sent me a link plus tracks the package inside of their app.

The package is being shipped USPS, so I could track it in their app.

I have the Deliveries app I got before they went subscription , which can still track USPS shipments.

And (maybe) Apple wallet can track it, too.

I really just want a single way to track all packages without a monthly subscription.

That will probably never happen.

Try the AfterShip app. It's completely free and updates super fast. I was using Deliveries app until they stopped supporting it and Parcel after that. AfterShip isn't as nice in the UI department but it updates much faster.

I didn't want it scanning my Gmail so I just created a dummy Gmail account just for AfterShip.

Months later, how is this feature working for everyone? I haven't made the leap to macOS or iOS 26 yet. This might push me over to it.

It still tries to track my Chipotle pickup orders. This half-baked feature ain't worth the jump.

Agreed! Similar experiences, same want, and definitely the same resignation to never coming.

Just when I think I must have received things via every delivery company, another one pops up. There's the obvious Royal Mail, Parcel Force, Evri. Then DPD, APC, Yodel, Amazon Logistics (for non-Amazon deliveries), UPS, FedEx, DX, TNT, DHL,... And I certainly don't want to install apps from all these companies. (And a right pain having to install and set up options/settings on multiple devices, and likely not available for macOS.) Apple's idea of collecting the information and providing it in one place is excellent. Hope it can keep improving.

That sounds good, as long as I don't have to pay a subscription to use it. I'm fine with a one time purchase with a separate charge to upgrade to a new version.

This is usually my stance as well, but in this case for $5 per year I think it is reasonable.

Especially since it is inherently an App/service which requires constant updating (to make sure it keeps working with delivery companies globally when some of them inevitably change their API or website) and also backend servers to automatically retrieve and sync the tracking information.

So what you’re getting isn’t just a self contained App which will remain usable with no update. It requires constant updates to keep working as well as some backend infrastructure. With that in mind and given a reasonable the developer is keeping the price, this is one of the few subscriptions which make sense to me.

Today I checked Orders in Apple Wallet and got a popup asking if I wanted to allow it to access Apple mail to read tracking information.

I granted it access, so we’ll see what it does when I next order something online. I do have server side email rules to file order , shipment, and delivery messages, so we’ll see if it can still detect messages that don’t arrive in the Inbox.
