I somehow simultaneously don’t doubt you but also don’t buy that for a second.

iOS 26 felt like crap to me right from the start. I was constantly getting icon resprings, and now that’s completely gone. It feels super snappy, even though it’s still indexing.

By the way, I’m on an iPhone 13 Pro. I have to say, I’m really surprised. Everything that felt off in iOS 26 (in terms of performance) is gone now.
 
First part of the keynote explained how there’s absolutely loads of under the hood performance and general fixes.

For me that’s a great feature.

I don't want to be that person, but as a software engineer, that's literately your job year round. Your paid to fix and debug code. Then send to production.

I should not have to wait a whole year when "you" (Apple) should have made OS 26 perfect by 26.1. or dare i say, at launch. I bought a M5 iPad Pro that stayed in the box 5 months until 26.3 launched.
