My personal shortcut Automations were totally broken until I added a notification to each one so I could visualize how often they are failing. As soon as I enabled notifications, they began working flawlessly yesterday.

Are automations still broken for most people? Did anyone’s automations suddenly begin working again?

Adding a notification makes no difference to mine. Sometimes they run, most times they don't.

Any edit made to an automation-based shortcut (or just toggling the automation off/on using those new toggle things) makes it work the next time, and then start failing again.

Time-based ones work fine though.

This isn't new (nor is it a bug fix, change, or improvement!), but I keep hoping Health will get better at this. I snapped this from bed this morning before I'd gotten up. And, no, it wasn't from the night before; I went to bed before midnight.

(And, yes, I know I need to lose weight.)

Siri working fast on my Air. Starting to get used to trying it for more things. Was talking about my dog at dinner last night, and asked Siri to show me my oldest picture with Toby. Showed up in 2 seconds.
It’s weird for me because Siri will fly through tasks or questions that I feel are complicated with no problems.
Then I ask Siri to call my wife and she responds “which group would you like to text”.

Ugh!!!

When you use Haptic Touch to open a new tab from the app icon, the keyboard doesn’t come up. You need to press the “X” and tap the search bar again to get the keyboard to appear.

Also, sometimes, half the favorites on the start page randomly disappear.

Everything has been smooth for me on my iPhone 17 Pro and M4 iPad Pro. Here are some observations and issues - most reported.
  • Carplay with my 24 Subaru has not had any issues other than sometimes the frame rate is a little low.
  • The keyboard sometimes doesn't come up when trying to type into a text box (especially when switching away and back to the app).
  • The keyboard sometimes comes up when it shouldn't (in maps when giving directions).
  • The Home app crashes when clicking on one of the new smart notifications (my hub is on tvOS 27 now, too).
  • I do not like the new way to view events in the Home App - I liked the original timeline.
  • The AI/smart combination of events in Home app are not consistent and sometimes the clips separate. Is there a better way to view them?
  • The phone is more aggressive about kicking Safari and apps out of memory.
  • The Settings indexing message went away after a day, but Photos still warns me that it's still indexing. Messages did too, but that went away.
Overall, it's fast, battery is good, and the visuals are much improved.

Pretty normal. When was the last time you restarted your phone? If you don’t restart it for a while, it shows the same battery health percentage. But it refreshes when you shut your phone off and turn it back on.
Restarted it after updating to the second beta and restart regularly like once every 2 weeks.

Anyone else having delayd responde to charge on beta 2? Like when I plug in the charging cable it takes 2-3 seconds until it begins chargin, and when I unplug it, it takes 2-3 seconds before it stops charging

Was about to ask in general if this beta was better than 1 as I’ve not jumped onboard. Glad I checked coz if automations are shot I’m staying well clear.

Yeah, here and on reddit people are noticing the temperamental nature of them. Hopefully fixed in B3, but if you rely on automations and aren't bothered by whatever bugs you currently have (that are fixed in B2) then waiting is the best option.

Still getting random page is stuck errors in Safari. Including this site. Most times killing the Tab reopening solves the issue. Other times I have to kill Safari AND close the Tab.
See attached.
Surely the active Safari tab’s not supposed to be white text on light grey like that.

Looks like the interface bug that’s affected OS 26 throughout the public releases. (Dark Appearance 26.5 pictured)

Battery health just dropped to 98% with a cycle count of 254… I was at 100% before iOS 27 betas… is this normal?
During ios 26 there were a number of posts concerning this battery health indication. I checked my M5 13” iPad Pro which is the only device I run betas on these days. It had dropped to around 90%. I did a search and asked about this on several forums and got similar responses. The numbers varied but all were around that 90% level. Seeing your post reminded me of that so I just checked that ipad and my maximum capacity is back to 100%. There were really a lot of serious issues in 26, beginnining from the very first release. For me the redrawing of icons and folders on my Home Screens was quite bad, still is on my phone which is on the latest 26 release, but has been fixed in 27 on my ipad along with the battery health issue. iOS 26 was a big pile of **** and should never have been released. This second beta of 27 is far better than the current 26 general release, at least on my device. I’m leaving it off my phone for now but I’m sorely tempted.

My Automations are broken as well. I noticed this morning that my wake-up Automation (morning alarm goes off, iPhone calls a web hook to run a Home Assistant automation) had one item (another personal Automation) disabled, so that might be worth checking. But none of my personal Automations seem to be working.

I’m seeing previously cleared searches popping up whenever I activate spotlight search and it’s very annoying. lol I’d hope this isn’t intended behavior, but I did leave feedback. FB23381040
