If you’re looking at the screen, then it’s already unlocked. Try testing it by laying it flat so Face ID doesn't automatically unlock it.
It works as intended on mine as well.

FWIW..... I just turned new Siri on to test it with CarPlay again and it is just as slow to respond to my request to text someone as it was the first time I used it. And when I said CANCEL, it just stared at me until I tapped the Siri icon on the radio to dismiss it. By contrast, old Siri is near instantaneous.

Hopefully, the next beta will be better....

Not the same issue but for a couple of years at least Safari Reading List pages, when tapped, if I take that RL tab to another page sometimes the saved URL is replaced with a later page I viewed.

DB2 is still running smooth but I’ve noticed my phone gets a bit hot during longer sessions. Battery is still way better than DB1 but not on par with iOS 26.5 (which wasn’t expected).
 
Bugs encountered so far
- Shortcut automations do not trigger? I have automations for work where eSim lines are turned on/off based on location triggers that do not run
- RCS is bricked, I can’t send it to certain contacts anymore but they can still send to me and groups they are in also show SMS in the input box (I receive all messages just fine). Incredibly blocking / annoying
- Liquid glass slider seems to do nothing here or I’m blind, looks all the same to me


Battery life is okay at best, probably indexing at work.

Or if you mean add widgets to lock screen then yes that works fine for me too.

Long press then customise and add widgets.

I’ve been having similar problems. Complicated requests are taken care of easily by Siri. However, asking Siri to shuffle a playlist or text/call specific people it gives very random replies and does not complete the task correctly.

I only lost 1. My Aqara doorbell cam. It won’t show live video but does still record and post activity clips.
 
Noticed a couple of annoying bugs today.

When connecting to my AirPods Pro 2s, my phone locks up for a bit. I’m unable to press anything until it unfreezes.

Also, even though my Home Screen wallpaper is set to no blur, it still blurs it.
