Nope no luck with the restart but I found the culprit under accessibility settings, name recognition was toggled on, not something I’ve ever used or set up.

One thing I have found over the years in betas; check your system settings. Far to often something gets flipped that may or may not cause issues.

I have turned off Siri and Apple Intelligence. In the settings and in iPhone storage I can still see Apple Intelligence using 21,59GB of space. How do I removed this?

This worked up to iOS 26, but does not Apply to iOS 27 betas so far, as Siri AI model seems to be more deeply integrated into iOS core.

Well, I hope Apple giving users opportunity to remove this useless data in coming updates. I really like iOS 27 when compares to iOS 26, so I think I can live with this until then.

With Reduce Transparency turned on, the keyboard is difficult to see when searching from the Home Screen in Light mode. Keyboard shows up fine in apps as image one but image two shows the one via Home Screen search.

Bug reported.

That Apple thread is an old one too, dating back to August 2025 and iOS 18.

Hopefully, once iOS 27 is out to the public, Apple will allow disabling AI at least on their devices with less than 8GB of RAM (quite a few) or with low storage (iPad Air M1 with 64GB of storage, for example).

I understood that part, and no, it was not enabled on mine. And even if it did, I would have to explicitly approve the request first for it to be forwarded to ChatGPT.
Yes but it could of been a bug where it just gets passed without permission was my thoughts 💭

Like how I do not get a notification that my automations are running after rebooting on db2.

I do not have that issue with reduced transparency and light mode on. I had reduced transparency off and dark mode on but changed both to test. Have you rebooted the phone ?

They don’t make glaringly obvious mistakes like this. It’s not a bug and ChatGPT is not a know-it-all.

I’m having a better experience getting answers from Siri vs Gemini. Especially when it comes to iOS.
Gemini rambles on despite instructing otherwise while Siri keeps them concise and to the point. I like Siri much better now and rarely use anything else.

Anyone else having maps in carplay (Waze, Apple Maps) constantly switching from light mode to dark mode back and forth all drive while driving in normal daylight? Happens every drive to and from work (so morning and evening). Going to log it as an issue, but didn’t see it mentioned here when searching.
My Tiguan does then when going through darker shadows. But it’s done it on every iPhone for the last few years. The light sensor is just way to sensitive. My jeep is perfect though.

Nope but it would definitively be an improvement.

I guess Apple don’t see the need to display CarPlay metrics there, same as AirPlay, Bluetooth, etc. However, you can ask Apple via their feature request channel (either in the Feedback app or online) and if there are more similar requests they might make it happen.
