Dock is darker in dark mode now ?

Ignore that; my wallpaper got deleted

Performance is hilariously bad. 5-6 seconds with a pause in the middle to switch homescreens.

1/2 second to swipe away from an app.

Lag when first loading a webpage in Safari.

5 seconds for the page to reload so I could edit this.

And there’s no watchOS update.
You quite literally just updated. It's indexing, and initial startup performance is always bad. That's why you let the phone relax in order to allow it to do its thing. It's not going to be snappy immediately after updating.

Just started happening over the weekend and continued into beta 2. Messages app says I have 7 unread messages. I tried marking all as read and having siri read my any unread messages but it still says 7. Any other tricks?
I've had two extra "unread" Messages on my iPhone (but none of the other devices on the Beta) since day one.

Took me a minute to figure out why beta 2 looks so much slicker with only minor changes. The rounded/squircle UI components from DB1 are flatter on the top and bottom. You can see it in both the search bar shape and the entire overlay (over the map) here.

The now playing bar in music app now shows what I watch on my ATV 4K. When I open the music app on my iPad, the little blue AirPlay menu bar icon pops up

Have you tried restarting after the installation?
Thank you for the segue.

I restarted. My lock screen wallpaper was then applied to my homescreen and everything was unresponsive until it went back to sleep and locked itself again.

Typing and editing my original post cost me 2% battery. Rebooting cost me another 5%.

According to settings, I am no longer indexing and as I mentioned earlier, there’s no watchOS update being pushed. So this is just straight up trash.

Has anyone been able to test if in Beta 2, a restart or force restart on iPhone 15 Pro/Max gets the iPhone stuck at a black screen and requires DFU mode and restore?

It is always recommended to allow the system update to take its time before judging the battery life.

I will return to this post on Wednesday-Thursday of this week.
