None of my automations are running. I also don't get the usual warning about how many I have enabled upon boot. I've tried restarting and also disabling all automations and re-enabling.

It is always recommended to allow the system update to take its time before judging the battery life.

I will return to this post on Wednesday-Thursday of this week.
This isn’t my first rodeo. I’m well aware of post-upgrade slowness due to behind the scenes optimization.

This is a complete anomaly. It’s also why I specifically called out there not being a watchOS update; when downloading and then pushing b1 to the watch, performance was bad. But not this bad.

Did it not work at all for you in B1? Works for me in B1...
It had lot's of trouble with Comics. You could end up unable to read a specifice comic. The pictore was shown for one frame and vanished at once. Happened to the same comics on 4 different devices. That bug has been fixed.

"Clear all notifications" needs a few taps before working. Been there since Beta 1.

My cameras aren’t showing up in Home anymore either (during the install of b1, they all shut off, but were listed in Home as disabled).

Now they’re gone completely.

So far:
  • Apple Intelligence got even bigger (mine went from 22.36 GB to 31.55 GB)
  • Siri app has the ability to select multiple conversations to delete
  • Encrypted RCS beta is back
  • Safari renders bottom page navigation elements better - they now stay glued to the bottom of the screen instead of floating up when scrolling back up.
  • Siri pace/expressivity still not enabled in beta 2 (says Coming Soon now)
  • Writing Tools are back
