Ya think?

It's more reasonable to think that indexing will take X hours, and given that everyone installed the update at about the same time, the process, likewise, should end somewhat concurrently.

Disagree strongly. It’s more reasonable to think that there is no correlation here. The amount of stuff on someone’s phone determines how long it will take to finish, nothing else.

My wifi bug has been fixed. Now when I leave my house it correctly states no wifi before on beta 3 it still showed 2 bars but no internet access.

I couldn't install it on my Air from Finder for the life of me. It said I needed a computer update (one was on Sequoia, one was on Tahoe and up to date) but then the computer update would make zero progress and fail.

Ended up doing OTA.
need to download Xcode, open the contents of the package and install mobilesupport.pkg

iPhone Air has been getting seriously hot whenever something is using location services. Happens in Maps, Pokemon Go, another location-based social app I won't name.

I had issues with my Outlook widget freezing after this update on all 3 of my devices (2 iPhones and iPad). The widget displayed the incorrect date (including old events from that date) and wouldn't allow me to tap to open the app; however, a hard reset fixed the problem on all 3 devices.

Or maybe Apple just changed the format of the index between betas and it takes a similar time to update per person.

Or only certain things are being re-indexed and whatever they are, they don't vary in size much between us.

Or maybe they decided it'd take 24 hours and they ran it at whatever speed was required for it to complete in that time.

Or something else 😁

Background sounds have stopped working for me in beta 4. I know they were working on all previous beta as I use this daily. Would anyone here be kind and check in their device if it’s not working for you either?
Id appreciate it!!

Just made an account to ask this. Does anyone still have the bug where opening and closing apps stutter when the home screen page has more icons (less icons makes the stutter less noticeable), tinted / glass icons accentuate this for me and it doesn't happen on the app switcher for me. iPhone 16 Pro Max here.

Don't you need to have Golden Gate installed to update via Finder?
It’s interesting that two people said this to me because I was able to install the iPadOS 27 IPSW from Finder on my Sequoia laptop… I’ve always done it this way with betas?

I usually do it from recovery mode, but I don’t restore. I just update.

iOS 27 has a hidden "Voice Pad" for Siri AI and hints that Siri AI may offer up to 13 voice options. I wrote more about it here:

Mine doesn’t show percentage 🤔

You can still inspect the real-time completeness using the Console app on a Mac. Connect your iPhone to a Mac and open the Console app on your Mac. In the sidebar, select your iPhone, start the log streaming, and type fetchPipelineCompleteness in the search bar. Quit and re-open the Settings app on your iPhone. You should see the following message:

Code:
fetchPipelineCompleteness: display=... days=... percent=…

The percentage is in decimal form, i.e. percent=0.90 means 90% done.
