At least on PB/DB3, wired CarPlay seems to "time out" and disconnect if not playing any media after about 10-15 min. If playing something, it stays connected just fine. Anyone seeing similar and/or has this been fixed in DB4?

Mine has still disconnected three times over a two-hour drive with DB4 and media playing. It’s better than before, but still. Let’s hope for a fix in DB5 now. ✌️

So any ideas why they pulled all of the content down on the now playing sheet and left so much empty space on top?

Bug? The new upcoming form factor of the foldable iPhone?

Or just for easier reach?

This is strange, as I don’t have such a large gap on my iPhone 17. 🤔

Did anyone in the UK do the update last night then all of a sudden get o2 5G+ (SA) I don’t know if it’s related to beta4 or a huge coincidence that o2 activated SA in my area last night

I did! (based in East London)

I did a quick search online and couldn't find anything about 5G+ coming online in my area yesterday, so I guess this was due to something being switched on on the iOS side with the new beta?

The SA has been around for some time in a lot of places, what changed was the new beta enabled the flag to show it as 5G+, previously you’d have needed to look in Field Test to see if you were on SA.

Anyone know if the Bluetooth bug where it drops all connections when you have multiple devices connected, and when you go to the BT screen, it shows none of regularly connected devices (list is gone - only a reboot brings it back and reestablishes connections)? Myself and a few others reported it in Beta 3, and sent feedback to Apple. Going to install B4 here shortly.

Are you using wired or wireless CarPlay?

I am positive it is not my cable, I am using the same cable I used when my phone was on iOS 26, however I did actually have a cable go bad on my recently, it was one of the Beats USB-A --> USB-C cables that was recommended for CarPlay, it worked perfect for like 6 months but I would drape the cable around my phone holder in the car and I think over time it caused a kink in the cable that would cause it to disconnect by moving the phone.

I got rid of that cable and went with an Anker one (also designed for CarPlay) and it worked perfect on iOS 26, this issue only started on 27 PB. And I haven't had the Anker cable but about a month or so.

Why are all of my fellow nerds so angry? 😂
People love to bitch and moan. The internet is all Chicken Littles with hot takes now.

I’m convinced all topics could be AI generated and no one would even notice. They’re all variations on clickbaity titles like:

“Am I the only one who thinks the iOS 27 Betas are a DISASTER!?!”

Anyway, I think Apple should have never turned on the indexing message/percentage.

People are complaining about something that always happened, but now that they’ve been given a frame of reference, it’s “too slow”. Funny how that works, especially in light of the above.

Anyone else having issues using the standard iOS keyboard as a mouse?? it could also be the Outlook app, but I was trying to highlight stuff and it was jumping all over the place

I noticed today that my third-party widgets are actually black in light mode… then get converted to grey when I enable dark mode.

I wonder if this is a beta glitch, a third-party developer error/mistake, or if I simply need to ignore it & wait until September to let it resolve itself?

I don’t see a huge alternative to your last paragraph at this point 😀
