iOS 27 Beta 6 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Tapping on a Messages notification from the Notification Center always brings me into that conversation thread in the Messages app… but sometimes the keyboard doesn’t appear when tapping the text field. I have to exit the conversation thread and go back in to get the keyboard to appear.

Anyone else?

I did not dig so deep on b5. Did you report it to Apple and, if so, does it mention more similar reports?

My report says more than 10 similar, so they should be aware of it by now:

it was the same in beta 5 I checked after seen it mentioned in this thread before I upgraded to beta 6

Is this user error or is it a bug?

I should have 57.96gb or music on my phone, but the app only shows up as 11.61gb of storage used within iPhone Storage settings.

Edit-never mind I figured it out. Thanks for mentioning it. Will make travel easier with one less thing to bring

You still need to carry your physical one...

Digital ID in Wallet can only be used at select TSA checkpoints in the U.S. to verify identity for domestic travel. It is not a replacement for a physical passport and cannot be used to perform functions of a passport like international travel and border crossing. You will still need an authentic and unexpired physical U.S. passport to perform such functions.

Did you try resetting your CarPlay from the head unit? I had to do that on Beta 4 several times but then it would be fine for a few days.
I have a 16PM and aftermarket wireless CarPlay

I did that on the Colorado and unfortunately it didn’t help. On OEM Colorado it is more a soft reboot of CarPlay.
I have not tried that on the Edge.

Both vehicles are OEM CarPlay.

Not accepted for international travel, and available for use in 250+ airports so check first before you leave it at home

White space after the playlist before the suggested songs section appears. But there’s no loading state or anything.

Apart from the return of horizontal mode, Music’s UI is abysmal. I suggest the wonderful app Marvis as a replacement, although I understand and appreciate that you are pointing out issues with the beta.

Still can’t start a workout from Shortcuts... Since b5 I get "This action could not be run with the current user interface.”


I have experienced the same problem since beta 5 and have not identified a solution. I expected the newest beta to resolve it, but it did not. Otherwise, I am encountering no problems with the latest beta.

Beta 6 hasn't really given relief from the heat and battery drain that Beta 5 really brought on my 17 Pro. 😒
