If you had seen my original message the previous poster was referring to, you would see that it begins with:

“A good beta, all of my previously reported bugs were fixed.”

My role as a beta tester is to find as many bugs and imperfections as possible and report them to Apple, so when the final iOS release goes to the general public, it can indeed become “an awesome release once optimised and polished!”. So, the way I see it, I am actually doing my part in helping Apple with optimising and polishing. 😉
As someone who usually waits until a final, stable, polished release: Thank you. This year, with a new M5 mac, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to wait until 27.2 to upgrade…

lets see if everyone's optimizing/indexing message goes away at the same time again
How’s talking about indexing still a thing?

There are actual bugs we can discuss besides this one tiny message that’s going to show up after every update. It’s a useless, dumb thing that Apple should never have implemented. Everyone was fine with “ongoing device setup” in the battery section.

Let’s move on to something that actually affects usage.

How? Exposing yourself to it while doing something pleasant to make that pavlovian association?

Well for example lotus pods were terrible for me. They still make my skin crawl a little, but not nearly as much as before. My ex-wife's godmother had some in her backyard and at first it startled me, but then I just got used to it because of overexposure. Honeycombs never bothered me, but some things still do. But for sure it has lessened over the years and like all phobias, some have it worse than others.

Yeah, honeycombs don’t trigger me either. Also they are hexagons, not circles. Ebola or smallpox pustules on the other hand… (I know, extreme cases).

Interesting. How did you install Beta 6 (OTA/IPSW) and what was your iPhone running before (iOS 26 or Beta 5)?
OTA . I got the 16e at the start of Beta 4 and I set it up from the start running the Beta because it was the only way at the time to get the EQ feature for my AirPods Pro 2 because I use them as hearing aides

Why .2? Why not .3? 😀
No honestly, this year so far it looks really good with 27.0

Would agree here. We shouldn’t be worried about this message.
