Are there any bugs with CarPlay? I often use

Not for me (wired CarPlay).

However, Siri AI is still not good over CarPlay.

In the Settings > Camera it only shows 12 or 24, but in the camera app itself it should offer you a 48MP option as well:

That is the issue for many Air users (and maybe more than just Air); Resolution has vanished as an option within the Camera app (photo).

Do you have the setting that displays this option enabled? It's in Settings > Camera > Formats > Resolution Control and ProRaw.

That's also where you select the default format and resolution.

The option to enable the AppleProRes activation menu for video and choose the log format for the capture is also there.

I have everything enabled and I activate what I need directly from the camera interface.

I see. FWIW, I am on iPhone 17.
