Easy, don’t even ask Siri anything anymore, just shut it off in settings.

Enough with these half assed Siri versions. Release a reliable and solid AI assistant please. This is embarrassing.

It’s not embarrrasing at all, I bet if you polled true Apple fans (use MacBook, iPhone, watch AirPods etc) I bet at least 75% don’t give a damn abt Apple Intelligenxe or Siri, if you need ai you go to Gpt or whatever else, therefore, Siri is pretty much irrelevant now…all these Siri tasks can be done either using shortcuts or at most like 4 button presses lol

Nobody’s stressing Siri (either before iPhone 16 announcements or today).

Apple just wants to keep their investors happy or whatever that corporate money crap is abt.

Does Gemini have a waiting list and a paywall if I walk into Best Buy and lay down for a Samsung Galaxy S25 today?

The answer is no on both parts. Gemini actually WORKS on the Galaxy. No waiting list, no paywall. No beta BS two step. A mature, functioning consumer product that "just works".

Unlike Apple that promised something that would kinda work. IN 2024. It's been two years. TWO YEARS and you couldn't figure this out? Then you had to make this half aersed dash to your cross town rival and buy their system. Even run it on their servers. Just to show you did SOMETING?

Absolutely pathetic. Sears Pathetic. Kodak Pathetic. Blockbuster pathetic.

In any other industry, from any other company this would be characterized as an abject failure. A failure of vision, a failure of leadership, and a failure of execution. I've seen two bit local government agencies move with more competence and dispatch than this. People should be fired for it. Maybe Cook leaving will make things better, IDK.

As far as AI in general. I get it. A lot of people don't like it. There are a lot of parallels between the .COM bubble/bust and the AI bubble today. However, just like .COM and the internet. AI isn't going away. It's already a part of your existence. Just like the internet became. Adapt to it or fall behind.

Will we be able to turn off it being able to use our chats for AI model training? With ChatGPT you can. You cannot with Gemini without turning off history.

Apple is a dying company. Even a toddler starved of oxygen would’ve had the basic neural capacity to realize this firebrand needed to be buried and rebranded.

It really does still show that the arrogant spirit of Steve Jobs still roams the corridors of that campus.

I hope this Ternus guy has enough sense left to turn things around, though expecting competence from Apple leadership at this point feels almost naïve.

LOL. I use Siri often with very mixed results. I don't care about the '75% of all users', I care about MY experience, and to me these delays are embarrassing. I want a stable and reliable Siri, and while they're at it, how about a better keyboard experience? I feel autocorrect has slowly become worse. But I'll bet 75% of users don't fair about that ether. 😉

The fact that anyone would have to be on a waitlist for Siri is crazy.

I just want it to be competent so there might even be a slight chance of using it exclusively as opposed to using Gemini/GPT etc….

It would be fine if AI was disabled until it works, but get the bugs out of the rest of the operating systems. Some of the same bugs have been talked about for too many generations of the operating systems.

The wasted money on the goggles and car would have been better spent on QC folks for the Apple branded software and operating systems.
