26.4 didn’t fix anything perceivable as far as I can tell.

I remember the keyboard not being this bad, but it is a miserable experience to use now. Constantly picking the wrong letter, the location of the period button. It’s an incredibly frustrating experience.

I swear keyboard accuracy gets worse with each update. It’s like it deliberately wants you to avoid using the keyboard.

Huh, am I one of the few people here who doesn’t have many problems with the keyboard? Swiping will occasionally insert the wrong word, but that’s a quick fix. 26.4 has improved things when swiping (although some of the suggestions are still odd but I just ignore those).

The keyboard on my Pixel 10 is good too, but not really any faster or better than the iOS one in my use.

I’m not a speed typer though — in the sense that I’m trying to race anyone or hit some arbitrary WPM mark.

I tend to dictate many messages; dictation works very well, other than some proper nouns.

Unrelated but important: there are a gazillion trackkers on this website. More than one facebook. I dug deep inside the website and it's just nuts how many there are. Get yourself some content blockers.

I swipe too and I've noticed it's better. Not the best, but much better.

I actually think it was at its least worst when it had a list of pre canned words & took a turn for the worse when it started to use ML and to learn from what others were typing.

Heard that before. I turned autocorrupt off again because I was tired of it going back many words into my correctly typed sentence and changing words at random.

Voice text is the only thing that works (somewhat) for me. The keyboard is horrendous. I make an error every other word (constantly hitting the letter next to the one I want).

Please fix it!

What the duck? I haven't really noticed improved accuracy when typing quickly. Anyone else hit o all the time instead of i? I thonk its a me problem

I'm now on iOS 26.5 dev beta 1 and all of my complaints I've had since iOS 18 seem to have honestly vanished.

I'd like a quick way to ban or at least de-prioritize the nonsense/obscure words that autoincorrect repeatedly uses to replaces legitimate words that I typed/swiped correctly. Or I'd like it to just work well the first time.
