Let's add 3rd party watch notification support (globally). I am hoping it is working for those EU beta testers. I am a weirdo who wants to use a Pixel Watch with an iPhone. I like the round design better and I like the watch faces better.
Third party smartwatches already support notifications. I use a third-party smartwatch and I’ve never had a problem not getting notifications from iPhone. 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Guess I never tried pairing it. There is no iOS app for it, so not sure how that would work. Something to experiment with this afternoon.

If there’s no app for it, then how would one manage the watch? Most smartwatch features require a phone app, at least that’s the way it usually is. I don’t think it could really work without an app either way. My smartwatch (an Amazfit Bip 6, wonderful value for pricepoint, btw) has an app for managing its features and such, and I think it relies on the app for notifications.

But third-party smartwatches can do A LOT, with iOS if they wish to. My Bip 6 replicates essentially all the core utility of an Apple Watch. I can even use it as a remote shutter for my iPhone camera. And while my Bip 6 uses its own Siri-like assistant that’s a bit less functional, there are Garmin smartwatches that can use Siri. So third-party smartwatches can do just about everything an Apple Watch can. 👍🏻

I wish Apple would allow us to set a third party calendar app as the default app. They allow it for browser, maps, and email. I don't have anything against the stock app mind you but, apps like Calendar 366 pro have much better layout options and ability. It makes no sense to me why this isn't allowed.

Oh, another simple one: I use the Timers in the Clock app daily. Currently you can name specific times, (ie 7:00 you can Label "Eggs"), for instant recall. However, every single time you enter is also saved, and they stack up. I often have to scroll thru 6:00, 30:00, 1:00:00, 15:00, 20:00, 4:00, 45:00, 6:00, 30:00, 1:00:00, 15:00, 20:00, 4:00, 45:00,6:00, 30:00, 1:00:00, 15:00, 20:00, 4:00, 35:00, 45:00,6:00, 30:00, 1:00:00, 18:00, 20:00, 4:00, 45:00 etc etc before I find "Eggs" at the bottom.
If the Timer only saved times that you've labeled, it would be soo much more useful.

Real dark mode for IOS Mail, so that newsletters that have all-white backgrounds don't blind me when I read them at night or early in the morning. This 'bug' (feature?) has been unresolved for YEARS.

Only a few more weeks! Super excited to see what we get with iPadOS and iOS 27! 🙂👍🏻
I'm a little wary. Siri already does what I need it to, and I'm hoping this stupid AI craze doesn't take away what I already like. Anyway, I'm so over chatbots being wedged in everywhere. I don't want to have a conversation with Siri, or get it to do complex things! It needs to start timers, run the shortcuts I've set up, and otherwise stay out of my way.

Other than that though, I'm looking forward to seeing the next step in the evolution of Liquid Glass. Hopefully we get some more colour!

- fix typing and QuickPath accuracy and autocorrect. Also when a weird retroactively changes, it should flash some color so that I notice it (also I have an idea for a slightly different way for QuickPath to work, but I won't get into it here)
- Slide Over
- video + app split screen
- two simultaneous audio sources
- restrict an app from any internet access (not just cellular, WiFi too)
- 'update app' option when long pressing app icon
- all audio alerts go to Apple Watch even when using iPhone (alternatively add Shortcut trigger of wearing/not wearing Apple Watch so I can automatically turn on/off silence phone)
- first party checkbook registry app with automatic entries when using Apple Pay (or an API for automatic Apple Pay entries for third party checkbook apps)
- reinstate 5 star system in Apple Music (it appears to be gone)
- don't require passcode when automatically backing up to Mac over WiFi when plugged into power (not sure why that ever changed)
- iPod Touch mode. Converts iPhone into secondary device that can send/receive calls and texts via a primary iPhone
- Control Center toggles:
- virtual bezels. Top, bottom, or both. Displays status icons and home bar, but no touch input
- one handed mode (shrink entire UI and move to right or left of screen)

There was at least one more but can't remember right now.

Greetings ! I'm from Malaysia. Siri language can be switched automatically when speaking in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and response accordingly ? Need this updates for easier access instead of changing entire language in the system. Thanks

I’d love to see Apple add AI audio narration for all articles in Apple News. Most major news websites already provide this feature, while the number of human-narrated articles available in Apple News remains fairly limited. Modern AI narration can sound remarkably natural.

You can kind of already do this. Add the Speak Screen button into Control Center. It'll read the News article for you. It can also read from the Books app and I believe Kindle, and anywhere else. Though, it would be nice if these apps had a built in button to do it as the Speak Screen option is pretty buggy.

I hope the supposed iOS 27 glass slider is just like the iOS 26 clock where it both darkens & blurs as you apply color. If it’s tint-only like the clear/tinted switch, I’ll be so disappointed. The clock is the only truly beautiful glass component IMO.

give us a way to tone down the resource heavy fx of liquid glass.

How about a flag, enable LG and the modern goodies for the modern phones but disable it for the older phones that can't handle it as easily but are otherwise supported? (Assuming that's not been brought up before and may have been but even OOTB, iPhone 17PM wipes the floor with Samsung S25U for battery life and on my S25U I was using a minimalist launcher and no live wallpaper!!)

Yeah, I don’t know how likely it is, but I would love either an improved Font Management system that would allow iCloud syncing of fonts between Mac and iPad (would be very useful for Apple’s creative apps and round-tripping), or Font Book app coming to iOS and iPadOS, or both! 👍🏻

Unified notification system between all devices. Goodness please be a feature, I hate for example having to clear a Apple Card transaction off my iPhone, MAC and iPad. I seen it once, I got it. Homekit notifications, again I seen it once I got it. So on and so on....
