Keynote is finally worth the price!

Great update to keynote. The presenter display is everything that it has needed.

The new SMS tones are astonishingly horrible. Like, I don't know what Apple was thinking horrible. First of all, they are all wayyyy too long. It's already annoying enough to hear peoples' phones constantly chirping and dinging as they have text-message conversations, but can you imagine how irritating these long, protracted tones will be? Argh, I'm mystified as to what they were thinking.

Am i wrong or iPhone 3G update doesn't bring new sms tones?

Hi!

Nothing to be excited about with this new release on an iPhone 3GS like mine.

Find my iPhone doesn't work, an iPhone 4G is required for that specific feature.

iPrint doesn't recognise my hp 309c whilst hp iPrint 3.0 used to on the previous iOS 4.1.

So I downgraded back to iOS 4.1.

Conlusion: iPhone 3GS owners, keep iOS 4.1 ;)

No printing still is a bummer :(

Im not going to go and buy a HP printer just for the iPad. For that matter Im not going to buy a HP printer ever (Bad experience with HP)

WTF can't u stream music from your iTunes to your iPhone/iPad/iPT?
Just get Airfoil if you really want this feature, it can stream audio from your Mac (and even from individual applications) to any AirTunes (or now rather AirPlay) device AND to any iOS device.

Do you take your computer with you everywhere? The point is to bring back the days of "take a DVD over to a friend's house to watch it there." (Funny how we lost that bit of convinience in this online video revolution.)

This presumes your friend has an AppleTV, but at $99 the chances of that keep getting greater every day.

OK, that's neat I guess. But not what I call killer. As far as what it does in my home, I'm just not that impressed. My Mac is always on so that's a non-issue.

I wonder if this is just the beginning though. I would think that the ability to stream any browser content would be in the potential future plans.

I love my apple tv - wish it could play my DVD player on my Mac.

I'm still on 4.0

The AirPrint feature is a disappointment, but if you spend $10 to get Printopia, you can print to any shared printer on your wifi network. Works as you expected the plain AirPrint to work.

I see that (on the iphone w/ 4.2) the volume control is in the multi-tasking tray after moving left twice... was that there before? I really can't remember XD

Thing that sucks about airfoil I think is, u cant easily browse your music content.

Just having a play with Airplay.

On my laptop I notice that I can stream video from itunes but not the quicktime player (kind of obviously since one has been updated recently and one hasn't)

I had a play with an iphone video I had recorded. Streams fine if I drop it into itunes - won't play from iphone/ipad or quicktime. So doesn't seem to be anything to do with the format/resolution of the video but a product of which player I use.

I wonder if the reality is that Apple hasn't built this into all their video playing components yet and we will see it gradually rolled out?

I think the two things that will make it totally rock for me are - playing from safari and playing iphone videos

(edit: and actually building it into keynote too - I have taken to travelling with my apple tv 2 since it is so small and most hotel rooms these days have a flat screen with a HDMI input - being able to do presentations from it would be very nice)

Use Printopia, it works great. Just downloaded it to my Mac and installed it and am printing just fine from my iPad and iPhone.
