So can you make custom sms tones, or only assign Apple ones to users? I could've sworn one of the new features was making custom tones.

After the upgrade I made some folders and now the folders and some apps seem to have disappeared from the home screen but are still available from spotlight. Seems like the 4.2.1 still has some annoying bugs.

Since the upgrade, my iPad has been unable to connect to iTunes or charge itself, any ideas fellas please. (I am technically illiterate when it comes to these sort of things so if possible a step by step guide would really help me out)

Thank you once again for any help.

Just for info;

Rang tech support this morning who told me to take it to the genius bar in the Apple shop at Sheffield, quick look (Looks like the connector port could have been damaged) and iPad exchanged, now that is what I call great service.

After almost 2 hours to download the update on Monday, it was another 15 mins to install it onto my iPad 16gb wifi.

So far, I like it, but there's some quirks:

- when I open a Google page in Safari, it always pops up a cached list of searches I've done locally on the iPad. Annoying, but not bad.

- having to remember that the lock screen is all software now and that the hardware lock button is now a mute button. So far, I've not forgotten, but I'm sure I will at some point.

- Having a lot of apps open in the background does impede speed, but once I close them, it speeds back up again. I know this is normal, but just another thing I need to remember to check.

- It took 2 syncs to get all of my music on the iPad. After the upgrade, opening the iPod application showed no songs and only the message that it was canceling the sync. Re-sync showed the same thing. Then the second sync had all of my songs on the iPad. Since then, it's been working great.

The multitasking works great, allowing me to leave an email draft open, a new twitter post in Echofon and any text typed into a web page all without losing any changes. I've enjoyed this option on my iPhone 3GS w/ iOS4 and now my iPad has the same productivity gain.

Now just waiting for a few more apps to be iOS 4.2 aware.

I have updated but I don't have the appletv option come up on my iPad! Also is it only compatible with the new apple tv ?

Have you tried restarting your iPad?
Yeah. Battery life becomes an issue after the battery drops below 97% After 97%, it rapidly begins to plunge. For example, it went from 75% to 68% in about 15-20 mins. I'm gonna restore it when I get home from work.

Reading email became easy

Reading emails became much more easier with the help of the outlook plugin which helped me to find the important mails that i want to view again with several options.My work became much easier using this.
