did no one notice the four or five finger muliti-tasking gestures option right below the lock/mute option?

Nice of Eric to assist.

I use my iPad primarily in bed before I fall sleep, and ever since iOS 4.2 I can never remember the six actions required to change the rotation lock through the taskbar in my half-conscious state. I'm glad the rotation lock switch is back.

Also, the switch as mute never even worked. Go ahead and try playing a song in iPod. Now pretend your friend just called on the phone and flip the mute switch. NOTHING HAPPENS. The song keeps playing. it was a stupid idea to change it to mute and they didn't even implement it correctly.

Is it only me, or doesn't anyone else see the multi-gesture features?

I don't have an iPad so I don't know if they were always there

No, those are totally new and I'm excited about them. Should make app switching lightning fast, double clicking the Home button worked but was a little slow and clunky (for one thing, you have to actually remember where the Home button is and find it, not so easy in the dark).

Nice! I thought that would have been a bigger news story than the lock button

Secondly, am I being dumb but how in the hell are you meant to use 4 or 5 fingers to do some of that stuff. A four finger pinch?!

Thank you

I can't explain how annoying this is on my iPad...to have to double click the home button and slide across to get the lock/unlock "button". I used to be able to just flip the switch while in the process of rotating the iPad with ease.

Well i'm thrilled about the return of my physical rotation lock.

Just shows you that if enough users complain about something that is easily changed by Apple, then they will on occasion listen.

And these new gestures look awesome! Double clicking the home button has just not worked as fluidly with me as it did on the iPhone.

Looks like 4.3 is another great step for iPad owners. To quote the beatles. . . ."it's getting better all the time. . . . Better Better Better"

iPad is awesome again. The new "multitasking gestures" work surprisingly well, too. The five finger pinch isn't as difficult to invoke as it sounds.

Haha! Okay, all you folks who cried about the sky falling:

Put the pills back into the bottle. It will be OKAY.

I updated and do not see any Multitouch Gesture options under the mute switch option - reset settings and did a restore - nothing is working - how did you get this enabled - did you install through xCode perhaps?
