I just can't wait for Hulu Plus + Airplay. Fios will not like me when I cancel the cable![]()
I wouldn't bank on that happening. It violates hulus licensing to allow it's shows to be streamed on a tv so I doubt they'll be able to Activate airplay

Has Hulu confirmed Airplay support? I contacted them asking why they didn't allow videos to be played on a TV using the Apple video cable, and they said their licensing restrictions prevent that. So I don't really see them supporting Airplay.

Not sure, but they released Hulu Plus for the Roku player and for other Blu-ray players/and PS3 and soon to be Xbox 360. So I don't think it is because it can't be played on the TV. I think it has more to do with Apple TV or something
Hi David,
Thanks for your email, and for being a Hulu Plus subscriber since August!
Unfortunately, due to limitations with our content partners, we aren't able to enable the video-out feature for the iPad and iPhones at this time. We do get quite a few requests for it though, and will continue to work with these partners to try and allow this feature at some point in the future, but I don't have a timeframe for when it might be available (though, I would love to have this feature myself).
I wish I had better news for you, but please let me know if you have any other questions.
Happy Holidays!
Devin

Here is the response I got from Hulu Support:
Thanks for the heads up. I hate the politics![]()
Since Hulu didn't have that functionality I tried Netflix which does allow the video out to work. I would suspect Netflix would be more willing to support Airplay in the near future.
I've found a lot more shows on Netflix that I actually want to watch, though there are still some shows unique to Hulu. Netflix also doesn't have current episodes like Hulu does.
I think what it means is that home buttons have been failing left and right since iOS4 and they needed to come up with an alternative.iOS 4.3 has shown that Apple is willing to make big changes in a point update. The addition of WiFi Personal Hotspot, AirPlay from 3rd parties and 4 finger gesture controls are not the kind of additions you'd expect from a "maintenance update".
So what does this mean for iOS5?
It appears that we should expect some ground breaking changes in iOS5. Discuss.

For any "ground breaking" features in iOS5, I would just look at the jailbreak community.
Easier acses to wifi
More keyboard layouts
Multitouch gestures
