the lock screen is scrollable too, so if you have 5 emails, then 5 facebook notifications, 3 beejive notifications, then you can scroll through them.
 
Also something I didn't realise until today.

From the lock screen, if you swipe a missed call, you call them right back!

I'm really loving all the new features, but I was hoping to get two things:

1) Subscribing to podcasts and downloading of new episodes without syncing or going into the iTunes app to download individual podcasts.

2) Push notifications for app updates from the App Store.

Hopefully they add these.
 
Slight annoyance is that in Safari (or any app where tapping the status bar would scroll to the top of the page), when you swipe the notification shade down, it will (usually) boost you to the top of the page as well... Not sure how they could resolve that though.
 
idk if anyone has said this but the youtube app now plays in the background. if you are listening to a video and press the home button it will stop playing but then just go to the controls in the multitasking bar (instead of the music icon the youtube icon will be there) and just press play and the sound from the video will play, it Will NOT bring u back in the app.

It's been like that since 4.0. :)
 
Not sure if anyone has seen this. I haven't read it anywhere yet, but i have enabled the home button with a triple tap to reverse the blacks and whites.

Settings/General/Accessibility/Triple-click Home/Toggle white on black

It's messing with the colors everywhere, but if your laying in bed and want to surf the web with a dark screen it's pretty handy.

I dont know if this has been mentioned but another lil addition is when you go to the photos you can make a new album. You cant save photos to that album just to camera roll but if anyone else has information about it please let me know.

I mentioned it a couple of times cause i was curious how to transfer folders i made on my iPhone/iPad to my computer...

you can save photos to newly made albums, i just did.
 
I just realized that if you swipe the Weather widget, it will give you the forecast. I'm sure everyone knew this, but I just discovered it. :cool:
 
Don't know if it's been posted, but in when in camera mode, if you swipe right it scrolls through your camera roll photos.

I hate this. Means if you leave your phone on your desk or even lose it, others can look at your pictures even if you have a pin set up. I hope the final release comes with an option to disable it.

No...if they've done it from the lock screen, it won't show your photo library. It will only show photos that you've taken in that session.
 
Is Spelling in ios 5 now independent from Autocorrection?
On my Ipad 4.3.2 Autocorrection is a necessary condition to use Spelling (i.e., you need to toggle on Autocorrection in order to toggle on Spelling). In ios 5 they seemed separated both, i.e., you can have Spelling on without the Autocorrection.
 
Has this been mentioned? It appears that you now have the ability to delete individual songs in the iPod (now called "Music") app. Left swipe on a song to show the delete button.

Also seems to be a glitch with the delete button and the time showing underneath the delete button.

it's for people with blindness or hard of hearing. It's just an added bonus. I won't use it, but my friends who are legally blind.. and friends that are deaf.. will be able to use this feature a lot.

Hopefully they will add a LED on the front panel.. for notifications and such. I missed that when I switched to iPhone from BlackBerry.
