Yes I've found this Beta very hard on my battery too, also apps that worked perfectly in Beta 4 have issues in Beta 5, mostly apps that need to access the camera roll.

This. The last Beta broke Atomic browser for me and my battery seems to have taken a nose dive. I've been in the red every day when I plug in when usually I'm half or better.

what are the chances of seeing a GM this time around ? Were getting close to release so im sure its going to be soon. I hope ;)

I've tested iOS 5 Beta 5 on 2 iPhones, a 3GS and an iPhone 4 and the original iPad. Both iPhone running pretty well but the iPad is soooo buggy, it even causes iTunes to crash loads and syncing is a nightmare

Zero :)

It's been going good for me. Battery life became an issue for the first time for me yesterday but I'd say that isn't too bad all things considered.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A5288d Safari/7534.48.3)

They will only release GM the day of the event. It'd be Beta 6 today.

I doubt it. Still a lot of bugs in the beta that need to be ironed out.

I wonder if Apple doesn't have a different branch than the one we're seeing. Seems it should be a lot more stable than it is at this point. I suspect apple has two different 'betas', one for them and one for 3rd party devs. That's how they surprise you with a rock-solid GM all of the sudden. (and a ton of other "new stuff" we haven't seen yet).

Hopefully Beta 6 will be the last beta for iOS 5.

Probably so. The event will prob be in two to three eeks. We might see another beta before it though. When b6 is released, they will be able to see when the next beta is released.

Not a chance in hell. iOS 5 beta 5 is still buggy as all hell. We're still at least two months from a GM.
