iOS 5 Beta 6 Today?

no chance, it's not stable enough, from 4-5 via OTA was so bad that one device got stuck in an infinite loop of resetting after i tried going into the photos app, managed to sort that. since a fresh install it's been much better, but there's still many bugs. Plus GM will be released at the Event (whenever that may be). We're getting Beta 6 next.

Is this on an iPhone or iPad? I've had big problems like you mentioned but on my iPad only.

i have wifi syncing issues, it's very hit and miss if it sees my devices. there's deffo one more beta

By the way, judging by the pictures of the release date that was built into Beta 5, the line says "2011-08-18T22:40:37" Could the 22:40 be a time and refer to 10:40pm? This said, who know what time zone this is in...

you missed the full line, it was "2011-08-18T22:40:37z" with Z at the end, so i'm guessing that the time zone is UTC, which is 2 hours 45mins away

iPhone OS 2 went through 8 betas before the GM. Mostly due to it being a huge upgrade, with the App Store and stuff. I'll be quire surprised if this doesn't have at least two more betas.

exactly, this is a HUGE update if you think about it, with wifi syncing, iCloud, OTA updating. anyone thinking GM is coming this week needs their head checked.

i'm in the UK too, that time in the code had Z next to it, which i am guessing is for Zulu, which is UTC, which is 1 hour behind us, so 11.40pm for us, if that's right.

Yes I remember jumping into bed several weeks ago when I got word of it just releasing and that was 11:30 UK time

i think so, am sure there was one around 11ish, maybe beta 2? anyway look at the release schedule for iOS 5 betas, none of it has been standard, with beta 5 on a saturday arvo!!

MorE importantly for us non developers, is this likely to be the final beta. Should be only a few weeks now to general release. Was beta 5 stable?
