IOS 5 Beta 8 - Today???

I have had this issue among a few others (iTunes randomly crashing during sync etc, slowness) but these are all iTunes issues I think. I haven't had any real bugs in iOS 5 beta 7. Some apps are incompatible right now but that's to be expected since Apple are not officially approving apps or updates for iOS 5 at this stage.

I'm wondering when they'll reintroduce the location-based reminders feature though (was present up to B6 but then removed in B7). While iTunes could use several thousand more betas, I'm finding iOS 5 very polished, more so in fact than 4.3 if my memory doesn't deceive me.

I was looking at the previous 2

beta 6 was released on a Friday and Beta 7 released on a Saturday
 
Beta releases have come later in the day still, keep hanging in there as I'm convinced we will see it today!

last time it was around 18.15, but the times have varied. could be anytime between now and midnight UK time, don't think i've seen it later than that on iOS5

I highly doubt the GM will come out before the Event.

iTunes play order for some playlists is really off (I found a workaround to get them ordered properly, but it is a big kludge).

As for timing, I expect beta 8 today (or maybe an RC 1). I think we will see the GM announced and released the day of the apple keynote with the official release about a week after.

i've been running Beta 7 with my windows machine and not got any of this. windows sync seems to work better than before.
 
You know i dont think we should have to wait for a event for a ios upgrade SINCE it was already told about from the last event. The last event they said coming Fall so just let it come why make us wait for a damn event. Just use the event to announce the next iphone. just saying .

they've always done an event to announce the new version of iOS then an event to announce the new iPhone, which brings the release of the GM for that version of iOS. Just this year, instead of the event in March to announce iOS 5, it was 3 months later at WWDC and then we get the event in the next coupla weeks to announce the iPhone 5 and iOS 5 will get GM.
 
This proves one thing, and one thing only: bloggers/websites/social media types know absolutey NOTHING. The only thing they do well is GUESS.
