Mine is really simple, and so easy for Apple to implement: let me remove the weather, compass, stocks, voice memo, and contacts (I can easily access this via my phone app) apps off MY phone! And for that matter, the ability to remove text message, mail, and phone app. I'm sure there are people who never use their phone for texting, calling, and/or emailing. Kinda silly that we're forced to keep certain apps we don't use.

Remove it from the homescreen and integrate Spotlight search into the Notification Center - put it on top(above stocks).

Search should be quickly accessible, since the Notification Center can be called out from anywhere that's where Spotlight belongs, quickly pull down -> Search, instead of Push the home button -> Swipe a few times if you aren't on the first page -> Search.

since ios5 has the light indicator funtion like blackberrys, can we assume that iphone 5 will have the light in front of the phone letting u know of missed calls and texts?

I would like that a lot. I would kinda like media controls too, so that way I can spotlight search and play a song all from the notification center, never leaving the app I was in.

I'd like to be able to change my SMS tones.

I'd also like a dedicated "power save feature" so if its selected high drain functions (such as location, push, 3g and wifi services etc) are suspended.

One thing i miss (that i had on a Nokia back on '03) was customisable timed profiles for ringtones and message tones etc. it was useful because back then i could set the phone to just vibrate on a call/sms during college hours and when it hit 4pm the phone would automatically switch over to audible alerts.

I think it would be great if in IOS Safari or OSX Safari you could "send" a webpage you are reading to another device, for example, if you're at your desk reading and you need to leave but would like to keep reading, just press the "send to iPad/iPhone/iMac" button. The first thing you see on that device when you turn it on is the exact part of the page you were at.

A lot of things here, couldn't think of just one!

notifications! I swear when you have group messaging on and multiple messages are popping up from at least 4 people, you can't even access your phone because text messages keep popping up! Thank god for iOS 5

5 icon springboard, there is so much wasted dead space there doing nothing. Even when the ipad was released i could not believe that they did not fill all that space up with more icons. Use the space!!!

Uhmm you can have more than 4 icons on the dock on the iPad...

But I understand wanting 5 on the iPhone too :)

custom SMS tones is in iOS5 :) along with email, voicemail tone, sent mail, tweet, calender alers, reminder alerts.

you can send links, not the same, but close enough.

Something like SB settings, for airplane mode and Wifi and even 3g sometimes, its quite handy for killing apps too :p

Definitely the multi-gestures! I know this probably applies more so to the iPad than the iPhone, but I find it sweet that you can research the topic on the internet and then with one swipe go to Pages where you can type up the research document. iOS 5 is going to be AMAZING!

The new notification system for sure, I'm sick of the blue bubble popping up while I'm in the middle of doing something.

There's reading lists in iOS 5 that kind of does what you want if you use safari. I can't speak from experience as safari winds me up so I don't use it. You have a folder in mobile safari for everything in your ready list that'll sync to all of your devices

I'm looking forward to an improved Safari experience. The tabbed browsing will be a definite plus, and the swipe to change pages (?not sure about this part).

Notifications will be most welcome in panel format and the ability to take a photo from the lock screen will be such a help to catch the unexpected great photo.

My wish list includes a notification LED, but since neither the iPad nor iPhone has such a light, I don't see that happening for existing devices.

Quick Reply/Compose SMS/MMS like in BiteSMS
Settings widget in Not. Center like SBSsettings
Gesture actions like Activator

I wonder why Apple hasn't implemented the ability to hide and unhide homescreen apps.

There should be a Homescreen section in settings with a bunch of homescreen options.

Looking forward to the notifications center the most, because notifications are awful the way they work now.

I don't like Newsstand, because I have no desire to use it and I can't hide it. You should be able to hide it and any other Apple app.

Completely agree. Personally, I can't believe it took them this long to reform the notifications system, as I vividly remember that there were numerous complaints about the current notifications system years ago. But, at least it's finally here. As for the Newsstand, I've also been wondering why it isn't possible for one to turn that feature off. I believe it can't be put inside a folder, either. Is this true?

It looks really good, I just hope it gets put on all iOS5 devices, not just the iPhone 5

I wouldn't be suprised if it was for the new iPhone only.

Yup. In a way, it's a folder itself. If it was able to be put into a folder, it wouldn't be able to open correctly.

Apple just isn't one to let us hide app icons.

Ah, that does make sense. But I do resent the fact that Apple won't let us choose which of their default apps to have, and which ones to delete. For example, I find the "Contacts" app to be a very redundant given that the contacts can be accessed from the Phone. Also, the Game Center app, which I hardly ever use. I would love for these to be deletable apps.

For now, the only solution I've found is sticking those unwanted and un-deletable apps in a folder on the last page. :)

The circular buttons compared to the rectangle.. DUH. What else would anyone ever want if you have circular buttons?
