Surprised they aren't getting a reworked music app pushed through this release to match the interface of itunes 11 and remote app

I like the new Music.app. I think it looks like iTunes 11 except for the Now Playing screen, which is nice in black. Looks very sleek.

Really? I haven't heard much people liking the new music app UI in iOS 6. I myself prefer the iOS 5 music app, which I'm currently using on my iPod Touch 4G on 5.1.1.

Anybody know if they fixed the problem with shared libraries. I can pull up songs, playlists, and genres can't pull up artists, albums, and composers

iOS 7 better be good. And I hope it runs smooth on A5 devices.

the iPhone 4 already showed its age at iOS5 (1 iOS level up) hence iOS 6 didn't fare any better.
but since the A5 is performing really well on iOS 6, and the fact that the iPad mini (virtually identical to the iPhone 4S with 512mb ram) is just released on iOS 6, I believe iOS 7 will be awesome on the iPhone 4S

iOS 5 and 6 run buttery smooth on my iPhone 4. No performance issues at all.

Hmmm possibly fixes the exhange e-mail bug that wouldn't push the e-mail through. So far since beta 3 everything has been working perfectly.

Hello funkdoc23
Can you let us know how things are going with the Exchange push issue after the update to Beta 3. Is it still working.
Can anyone else who have updated confirm there is a fix for Exchange Push bug

Thanks

Stuck on E

I did see one previous reference to this in the thread but is anyone else having the issue on Beta 3, when you go into an "E" area (AT&T) my iPhone 5 refuses to flip back to 4G or LTE until either I turn it on and off or go into Airplane mode and back on.
Anyone?
Thanks!

It is still working! I even did another restore & clean install again to make sure it worked with the beta. As of right now NO PROBLEMS! It's working fine... the way it should.

What's new in this picture?

No wifi issues here.

Will my issues be fixed with an iPhone 5 exchange? I mean many people are saying it's been to no avail and the problem will remain since iP5/iOS6 changed to something like iPv6 from iPv4 or something like that.

WiFi is perfect at home, but at uni it is spotty and often disconnects though the bars are full.

Rebooting always provides a "temp" fix for the exchange push email issue. Obviously a resotre and clean install does a similar thing.

There is no way to know the exchange push email is fixed unless you do not reboot or change any settings for at least a week.

I'm having an issue with wifi connectivity.

After unlocking the iphone wifi connection is not restored automatically, I have to go wifi settings and select the wifi network again :\

FYI

resetting network settings apparently made it work as it should again

Thanks for the update, would appreciate if you keep us posted on how its going. Are you on Verizon and are you in a LTE area?

On verizon.. works on my home wifi, work wifi & LTE! Settings have been changed and the exchange still works like a charm. Looks like it has been fixed with this beta!

Yes but my setting have been changed and with this beta the exchange has not failed once. It appears that they have taken care of the issue.

Thanks for the update. Your situation seems similar to mine. After a double restore, mine has been working fine on 6.01, but it breaks if I reboot. So, am eager for a fix. Glad to get the good news from you.

I agree with you on this. Rebooting never fixed the issue for me, it was fixed 3 times via a double restore, and stopped working if I rebooted. Keping my fingers crossed. Thanks

Think beta 3 is more of a bug-fix update or something. Or maybe Apple is facing some problems with the new feature that they are pushing back to beta 4, no one knows.

Looking at the current list of changes from the 3 betas, I'm really disappointed. Gone were the days where iOS 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 brought about many substantial features. Ever since 5.1, they've been going downhill in this aspect :(

What does GM stand for? I tried researching it with no avail.

Stems from when physical media was pressed, and stands for "Golden Master".

GM means that the software has been signed off as ready for the public and sent off to be pressed from the "master" copy.

In the optical media days it means that if there were any showstopper bugs found after that, it was too late to fix before it went on sale because the disks were already being pressed.

With digital downloads, obviously its a bit easier to resolve issues after it has been declared golden master...
