Think beta 3 is more of a bug-fix update or something. Or maybe Apple is facing some problems with the new feature that they are pushing back to beta 4, no one knows.

Looking at the current list of changes from the 3 betas, I'm really disappointed. Gone were the days where iOS 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 brought about many substantial features. Ever since 5.1, they've been going downhill in this aspect :(

I thought so too. I am only looking for a couple things for iOS 7. NC improvements, Quick SMS / iMessage reply and bluetooth/brightness built into the multi-task bar. Possibly along side lock orientation and volume control.

I would welcome Quick SMS reply and brightness built into the multi-tasking bar.

Not sure what NC improvements Apple has in mind. I don't think they'll insert quick settings toggles there though, it's too Android even though many users want this feature.

One of the biggest features that iOS 6 removed is the YouTube app and Google Maps.
Another change would include the inability to download Podcasts through the regular iTunes application. Instead, users are prompted to download the official Podcasts App in order to continue
New privacy settings are available to the user. In addition to location services, the following have been added in iOS 6: photos (already partially restricted in iOS 5), contacts (address book), calendars, reminders, bluetooth sharing, Twitter, Facebook, and Sina Weibo.

I agree with you on this. Rebooting never fixed the issue for me, it was fixed 3 times via a double restore, and stopped working if I rebooted. Keping my fingers crossed. Thanks

Still working perfectly! No delays no restore or settings change needed. Beta 3 has appeared to have fix the issue for myself and my co workers.

Anyone know does the ios 6.1 beta fix the 'app reopen issue' in ios 6.0.1? I mean the app may stay in your background, but after sometime when you use the app again, the app reopen just like you already closed the app from your background. And is it fix the lagness in ios 6.0.1?

iTunes Match

I noticed iTunes Match behaving differently in this beta... Typically I would play a song I haven't downloaded yet and it would download as you start to play.

I have played a few songs from start to finish and it seems to stream now. It doesn't download unless I press the icon to download.

Is this a bug in the beta, or is this the direction iTunes Match is headed?

I really just wish they'd fix keyboard shortcuts. Also, in my experience autocorrect has been weird since 6.0.

Thanks funkdoc23, for the update. Keeping my fingers crossed. Anyway to get this update now without being a developer.

Were these bubbles always there, or are they new? Noticed them on my iPhone when I tapped and held.

There since iOS 5. Tap and hold for more song information essentially.

Downloaded Seether's album right after I saw your screenshot LOL!

I hope they soon allow beta updates via software update so we don't have to restore/wipe the phone each time. They recently added this feature to Mac OS, which is a big plus.

Lol @ everyone that thinks iOS 6.1 will be the second coming of jesus.

Lol @ your ridiculous hyperboles. Is it too much to ask for a few new features? Back in the day a x.1 release designated new features while a x.x.1 was bug fixes, but that was back when Apple was playing catchup with Android by waiting a year to give us "magical innovations" like MMS, copy & paste, and the like. Now that they've copied the jailbreak community and Android to near completion they're at a loss. For Apple's sake I hope the jailbreak for the iPhone 5 comes soon. Oh how times have changed at Apple.

What features? I don't see a demand for these features. For the small percentage of people that do want it like you said there is a jailbreak for that. It takes time and money to integrate these features and make sure they work well for all devices.

Having some odd behaviour in regards to iMessages ... With some going to both my ipad and phone and others not.
