No more Street View in iOS 6 then?

For now, no.
It is a shame. Street View in Maps is a cool feature. For me, not so useful, but according to many other people, Street View was important. I believe Apple will roll out something similar in their in-house Maps.app. The Maps.app is in its infancy. It will change A LOT by the time the consumer release of iOS 6 comes out. Yes, it's buggy and crashes now, but it's a beta, so that's not surprising. I believe Apple will pull it together and make it very useful by the time everyone can get their hands on iOS 6.
I am personally more excited about the emphasis on Local stuff rather than Flyover, etc. Finding a local place with the current Maps.app is just a terrible experience. Hopefully Apple's new Maps.app will improve upon this, as it is one of its promised features, and I'm sure Apple will deliver.

I like its map apps most. In this app we would get 3d vector views, 3d satellite views and its Siri integration. And just as Twitter was integrated into iOS 5.0, iOS 6.0 carry with it Facebook integration. Not only will you be capable to post direct to Facebook, you’ll also be capable to upload photos. I wish it will be the same as i am expecting.

She interprets things much better now! I'm so excited as she has NEVER once (pre iOS 6) been able to play phutureprimitive for me! Another fun note, as I typed "phut" autocorrect guessed the word for me just now and I've never typed it before... I wonder if my phone uses Siri to learn and vise versa...?

No joke,that is badass!!!

About the Facebook and Twitter integration. Do you still get the Facebook and Twitter icons for sharing everywhere even if you don't use those and don't sign in ?

In IOS 5 you had to download or install Twitter. Do you still have to do the same in IOS 6 ?

Yes, and yes. But, with the new sharing views, it doesn't bother me too much to have the extra icons.

Nope, it's a google only thing, apple won't have it.

Really? Are you saying that when Google release Google Maps as an app in the app store they will be removing this feature.

As I understood it we will have the option of using the stock Apple Maps or Google Maps. Apparently Google makes an awful lot from IOS and will be wanting to get their app out ASAP.

If thats the case iPhone owners get the best of both worlds.

Actually, no. At least not for Facebook. I used Siri to post a status before I had the app installed.

Way to totally misunderstand my post. I didn't say it's an android only thing, just google only thing. If google maps brought their own app, of course it will have street view. As I said, it's a google only thing.

Thanks for checking.

Yeah, I too hope they fix this bug. It happened to me a few times that my iPhone started ringing, and I wanted to find out the time before answering (and putting the phone next to my ear), but couldn't.

Have you never heard of a wristwatch ;)

If Google do release an app then I would expect it to have turn by turn navigation and local map storage as well, to try to make it better than the stock app so a lot of people use it instead. Also if it was just a straight copy of what is there now, Apple could maybe reject it as duplicating existing functionality. If it has navigation as well, then although that would also be duplicating functionality, Apple can't really reject it because they have allowed so many other navigation apps in. This would likely be the best possible outcome not only because there would be a choice in iOS6 which to use, but also no reason why it wouldn't work fully on 3GS, 4 etc.

Open in...

I know that the open in feature has a new interface with icons but can anyone see if it works for larger files when there's not so much free space on the device? In iOS 5, transfering a 250+ MB file with the device having less than 5 GB of free space would take several minutes if it works at all.
