Ok i think i made a not so great discovery :) it seems the appstore now checks your location and even if you use or have setup a US account but your in a different country it will display the store according to your location, if you try to make a update it will tell you that your account can only be used on the US appstore and "re-directs".

I hope it just stay that way and i dont have to start using a vpn to download/update from the store.
I'm in the UK logged in with USA account got US store *shrug* - running beta 2

I agree with your point completely, but it doesn't take a law degree to know that breaching a valid contract is illegal. :D

The police wouldn't show up to your door and arrest you for it, but if Apple cared they could take you to civil court.

Not sure if it has been posted, but the gear wheels on the Software Update page are turning while the update is being downloaded. Neat. :D

Siri improvements

So don't know if this was posted, but if you activate Siri from a headset and ask for POI (such as pharmacy) it will start saying the list (in this case) of drug stores and then it will show you a map showing the location of the first store in the list. It will then ask you if you want to call the store, get directions to the store or say next to go to the next store in the list.

if you say call, it will call the store. If you say get directions, it will open maps and instantly tells you how to get there.

Cool new feature :D

In the new Maps.app, I know there are turn by turn directions, but is there a list view of the directions like there are in the current Maps.app? (A simple list view of all the turns, streets to take, etc during the route)

Screenot please? (I want to compare the two views)

Thanks!

Here you go

I will be mad if this was there all along. I just noticed that you could turn off vibrate when silent. I need it to vibrate when I am in a meeting but not when it is sitting on the nightstand or coffee table.

A lot of people have been saying that Safari on iOS 6 and ML OS X has been faster in terms of load speed. Couldn't the speed actually be the same, but the loading bar annimation be in quicker little steps instead of larger slower steps to make it seem smoother?

Thank you. It seems a lit bit more polished in iOS 6 compared to iOS 5. They're pretty much the same though. I like it.

It does look nice but some of the functionality has been lost in iOS 6. In earlier versions of iOS, tapping on an item in the list would take you to an in-map view so you could visualize the turn. Now tapping on the list does nothing.

Been there all along...

No actually it hasn't. Only since iOS 6.

Changing the silent to no vibrate? I've always had that.

At least since iOS 4. And I'm pretty sure before that as well. Though my memory of before iOS 4 is a little fuzzy.

Being able to turn off vibration (globally) for silent mode OR loud mode has existed on the iPhone since iOS 1.0.
