iOS 6 All the Little Things

I signed in and then disabled it a few minutes later. It still has all the profile pictures in my contacts. And the weird part is, I have like 10 old phone numbers saved from old Craigslist inquiries about junk I've tried to sell. Now I have most of their names and links to their Facebook page. Creepy.

Yes, you can. When you first start to set up Facebook integration, it gives you a modal dialog that explains some things, and then as soon as that closes, you see the switches for enabling/disabling contacts and calendars. I just turned those off as soon as I saw them and didn't have any sync that I could see.

so you're saying it auto synced when you logged in or did you actually press update contacts?

and by "It still has all the profile pictures in my contacts" do you mean the pictures you already had or pictures facebook gave your contacts?

i hope this works, i don't want facebook integrated into contacts or calendars.

Right - and I get the option to Save Photo or Cancel. When I tap on save - it never shows up in the Camera Roll. Plenty of space left on my iPhone. Closed Facebook out of multitasking - restarted - and still nothing. It worked this am before I updated to iOS 6.

Go to Facebook/privacy or even privacy/facebook and enable photos. You can now save photos to your camera roll

It does not auto sync, at least it didn't with me. I just entered my FB details and turned Calendar and Contacts off right away. My Calendar and Contact details have remained untouched.
 
Bit disappointed you still can't set an out if office on your exchange mailbox but the VIP option is good, it means I can stop having to make a duplicate in outlook. I'm liking the flag option aswell, it helps me make sure I remember tasks if I answer an email away from the office :)

Add do not disturb and custom regect messages for calls, means it is even better as a work phone.

Definitely, I actually thought it was possible. Have been trying to figure out how to do it, but seems like there is no way.

They should consider making it possible to add more "owners" to a Shared Photo Stream.

Oh, what a pitty! I just told my girlfriend about a new way to share our photos...
 
I'm really digging Guided Access. you have to triple click an app in order to go back to the home screen. this is great for my daughter, she has special needs and this helps her concentrate on the one educational app.

...instead of jumping onto YouTube rofl.

Anyone understand the Do Not Disturb function? Does it stop noticfications and alls? i normally put my phone in airplane mode overnight to stop twits waking me at stupid o'clock

Okay nevermind the first question. Hah. I figured it out.

Anyway anyone else having their slide to unlock lock freeze on them? Esp. after a hard reset. Also the brightness is going way up while it's resetting.

They finally fixed the lock-screen/album art bug.

For over a year now anytime I'm listening to music and I use the lockscreen controls to change track there'd be a hiccup, a flash of my wallpaper then the next track would start. Delighted to say 'tis fixed! Yay! :D

I know this isn't a new feature but that bug's been getting on my proverbials daily for a long time now.
 
Multiple Mail Signatures

Not sure if this was already discussed but, finally am able to put different signatures for different mail accounts; Really helps. Good Job.
 
Old App Store Bug?

When I first installed iOS 6 on my iPad 2 I had the new App Store, but the past few hours the old App Store has taken its place and some of the buy buttons are not being displayed correctly like in this image. Has anyone else seen this?

Just after updating to iOS 6 yesterday I noticed the settings icon has changed. The cogs on the gears are no longer pointy.
 
Not sure if someone pointed it out yet but in Safari if you hold the Back or Forward bottons the History will pop up of the previous stuff (if you hold the back button) or the forward stuff (if you hold the forward button). Try it. Kinda cool. Unless you forget to clear out your History lol.
 
Photos & Camera is now a section under usage.

So you can now Delete the Camera roll, Photo Stream, and Photo Library right from the phone quickly on a whim if you want to.

I agree with you, I wanna see this awesome effect for places i have not seen, if I bookmarked a place, that means I've already looked at it and know how it looks like from different angles.

This should happen as soon as you search for a place (if the 3d mapping is available).
 
Ok, so as of this morning my hotspot is not working? My wifi play book browser is complaining it can't resolve host. Unfortunately I don't have my iPad here to test that. I can surf on the iPhone (3G). I also can't browse on my work blackberry connected to hotspot with the blackberry's cell antenna turned off?

Not sure if apple broke it or Rogers has to change something on thier end?
