My battery life wasn't too good after updating to OS 6 but now it is back to the same as before. All I did is let the phone go completely flat and charged it up to 100% again.

I tend to let mine go flat every week or so after top up chargings as part of housekeeping and it seams to have worked.:D

I have the same problem of the limited life of the battery. I've disconnected all positioning system, automatic network search, etc.. Just now my iPhone 4 indicated 74%, I did a soft reset, Surprise! now indicates 78%. I hope Apple will soon give an update to iOS6

I had issues with my battery when I first upgraded to iOS 6 but after just letting the phone be for a week or two it's back to normal, weird I'm not sure what it was could have been the charging. I'm just happy it's back to normal

Hmmmm...

Earlier this week my iOS5.x equipped 4S developed a fault - it couldn't see any wifi. Having called Apple, after a few things they suggested a full restore which meant that the phone was then on iOS6. As it happened, the wifi was still not working so they organised to send out a replacement. In the meantime, I was to continue to use the phone until the replacement arrived.

I discovered that my battery life had plummeted - whereas before I'd get around two days of light-to-moderate use on a single charge, I was only a few hours post charge and down to 60%. Not good. However, no point in worrying about it as the new phone was on the way.

It turned up the following day and in fact the battery life would appear to be better on this phone (with iOS6 pre-installed) than on my previous phone with iOS5.x.

This makes me suspect that the update process is screwy in some way - perhaps something is amiss with battery control following an update that isn't amiss with a clean phone...?? Just thoughts.

For reference, it's now 26 hours since I received and top-up charged the new phone, and its numbers are:

Usage: 1 hour 21 minutes
Standby: 1 day 2 hours
Charge: 74%

Update (Sunday morning):
Usage: 3 hours 46 minutes
Standby: 2 days 20 hours
Charge: 25%

Looks good to me :)

I dont know about u guys but i can go for 9 hours on ios 6 with heavy usage and 1 day and 27 hours on standby

My phone dropped from about 70 percent to 35 percent in a about an hour of just sitting on my desk unused.

Fifteen minutes only

My issue is somewhat different but perhaps someone can help...

My battery life is about 15 minutes if I use the phone, and several hours if I don't...

One might assume it was a batter problem but it's not... Here's the logic...

1) Charge to 100% ...
2) Disconnect from computer and use any apps, it will power down in a about 10 to 15 few minutes...
3) Connect to the usb to charge and after about one or two minutes it's fully charged...

This suggested there is a fault in the phones voltage checking mechanism, as you can't charge a battery from 0 to 100% in 60 seconds... Also, to discharge from 100% to 0 in ten minutes would result in substantial heat but the phone remains cold...

Note if I just unplug after charging and don't use the phone, it will indicate fully charged for many hours... If I then use it, I will get a few minutes and it will power off again... Charging the batter again will only take 2 or 3 minutes... suggesting the battery was probably partially charged t begin with...
