I'm sure it's a simple task, but at what point do you stop, that is why I asked how many you would like to see in a folder, 24, 48, 72 ? At some point you have to decide to stop. When you have to scroll is that a stopping point to make a new folder?

Yeah that is true... I personally do not mind scrolling which is why I assume they stopped with 12 apps because it makes it so there is no scrolling. To answer your question I haven't run into a case where I need more than 24 apps in a folder but I figure that depends person to person.

I can see 24, seems like a good fit. Maybe suggest it as a feature request, it can't hurt.

How many do you want in a folder? I think they just picked a number and I don't think they will increase it. I have no problem making another folder if I need more than 12 on my phone. Just my opinion.

I don't see what the problem is in increasing it. If you don't like to scroll, you don't have to: make a new folder when it gets to that point, just like you (must) do now. I hate having Utilities 1, Utilities 2, etc. That does not seem elegant to me.

As far as how many? Make it unlimited--just like InfiniFolders. At the least I'd want a couple of dozen.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I'd even like to be able to nest folders. For instance, a games folder with sub-folders named card, arcade, word, puzzles, etc.

Yeah I am totally with you. I have 2 Utilities folders as well as 2 Games and I think you nailed it on the head by saying it isn't elegant and if people really don't want more than 12 or 24 apps then they can stop but the logic behind infinite seems reasonable to me

Right, to me 24 seems like a good number, more than the current 12 and not so much I have to "search" in the folder for what I want. I do think Apple should allow more than 12 and leave it up to the user to decide. They must have a reason for arbitrarily picking 12 as the limit.

Am I missing something or is there no way to turn off the voice when using turn-by-turn?. I tend to have podcasts or music playing and just glance at the map screen when I'm driving. Don't really need the audio directions.

I don't see any way to turn it off. I would imagine that will be added.

I'm thinking regional because I have a 4S in the US and my dictionary is already there, not a stand alone app but when I define a word it does not ask me to install.

I have a 4S in Greece and if you try to define a word in foreign language (other than English), the above screen for downloading dictionaries pops up!

Interesting. I did not try to define a word in another language. I will try.

Tried it, typed Axt, German for Ax and indeed it asked me to download a dictionary. Cool.

You can now turn off Facebook's access to App store. It was pretty annoying every time seeing the popup in App store.

It's under Settings > Facebook

not such a big deal but i noticed that in beta 2 they removed the earth wallpaper, was one of my all time favorites too ;)

Anyone notice that when you install an app after awhile and you have to put in your password again sometime the App will act like its installing then about 15 seconds later I'll be prompted to put in my password?

Wirelessly posted

Have not tried on the iPad. If it doesn't work guessing iPhone only maybe.

It works exactly the same on the iPad (iPad 3 in this case). I would assume it has to be a word that is not only foreign to the current language, but also one that it ascertains the correct language properly (so it can download the correct dictionary).

I used axt, by the way, in my testing.

my iTunes is not recognizing my phone has been restored...

My iTunes won't either. It restores the backup in regards to the pictures, contacts and logins, but then after the process is complete, it shows my phone as brand new instead of a restored phone, so it won't install all my apps.

I wasn't sure if this was a beta thing that normally happens, or what because this is my first beta install (I'm a new to the developer world, legit though).

Has anyone here been able to get VIP Mail notifications to work? I set a couple VIP's up just to test and it hasn't worked for me in beta 1 or 2.

Passbook seems to be a very cool app. It looks awesome switching between different types of cards & seeing notifications to changes pop up like new departure time for a flight. The coupons even have jagged edges to look like they've been torn out of a circular & event tickets have a little notch cut out of the top like tickets normally do. The attention to detail is pretty awesome. And the shredder when you delete a card is very cool as well.

Is there a personal hotspot option(new ipad Verizon) for ios 6 beta? I have waited until beta 2 and still doesn't show the that option and had to check if im the only one or if its a "beta" thing. Theres no general>network option to enable the personal hotspot. Hope someone can confirm for me because nobody really mentioned it anywhere.
