Best battery I've had on iPad 3 so far. This is the first full drain with beta 2 and so far only. It's been charging right after the restore and I've never plugged it in since(as you can see).

That's amazing.. and you're not even the first to say that the battery has been better! Oh god, i really hope it does get better for the iPhone and the iPad :D

Beta 1 had terrible battery life for me on iPad and iPhone. Since beta 2 things have improved vastly! iPhone loses 3% overnight (8hours) with Do Not Disturb on, and during the day I certainly notice the change.
Battery life on iPad seems better than 5.1.1 as other users have said. So, all in all, things are looking good for iOS 6 :)

i havent seen this mentioned yet, but animated gifs that i send through the messages app are animated when in full screen. i definately dont remember this being the case in any previous releases.

Has anyone here been able to get VIP Mail notifications to work? I set a couple VIP's up just to test and it hasn't worked for me in beta 1 or 2.
I tested it and it worked in beta 1 for me. Haven't tested in beta 2 yet but will shortly.

It's a nice feature. I never had used notifications with email as it there were just too many of them.

That's awesome. They definitely weren't animated before.

It works exactly the same on the iPad (iPad 3 in this case). I would assume it has to be a word that is not only foreign to the current language, but also one that it ascertains the correct language properly (so it can download the correct dictionary).

I used axt, by the way, in my testing.

Hmm, very weird, still nothing here. What did you do exactly?

on a separate note, has anyone noticed the podcast app in app store?

I still found the animations when using the pinch gesture to return to the home screen a little "jittery" on my third gen iPad compared to 5.1.1 ...

Everything is faster on my 3GS. Do Not Disturb mode is now working, along with Guided Access. Also, Podcasts are downloading thanks to the Podcast app.

battery is alot better in Beta 2.

Beta 1's have had terrible battery drain since ios4 maybe even 3 trying to remember back that far. By Beta 3 it seems to be better most of the time for me anyway.

nope in full screen gifs have never been animated.

Can someone confirm this improvement of lifetime for the iPhone 4S?

With only the wifi on -- possibly. My 4S after 4 hours of standby and 1:16 of usage time on an M-Cell 3G with wifi / etc. and I'm at 83%. I had a lot of apps 'running'.

I haven't seen any significant changes in battery life either way with Beta1 or Beta2.

My iPad running 5.1.1 doesn't show the battery usage. Is this a feature exclusive to iOS 6?

Question. If something happens to my iPhone be it the front glass getting shattered and I want a replacement. I know Apple will replace my iPhone 4 for $149. But will I be able to retrieve my iCloud account from that replacement being as though the replacement will be iOS 5.1.1?

How does this work?

Is the "time since last full charge" new to iOS 6? It's not on my iOS 5 iPad.

No you need to turn it on. Are you referring to the Percentage?

No, the "Time since last full charge"

My iPhone has it, but not my iPad. Both are on 5.1.1. I think it's an iOS 6 feature for the iPad.

I felt, though had no proof that, battery life was worse with Beta 1 on iPad 3 4g. Battery life since installing Beta 2 has significantly improved. I'm currently at 80% with 4 hours usage and 16 hours standby - general use, screen at about 50% brightness. I normally charge every night though I'll keep going with this to see if the drain picks up otherwise it looks like I'm getting fairly fantastic battery use.

I typed axt in a note in the Notes app, selected it, and chose Define from the the popup. That brought me to the Dictionary with the "Would you like to download a dictionary" prompt. I didn't choose to download it.

on a separate note, has anyone noticed the podcast app in app store?
Yes there is a dedicated thread about that.

My battery life hasn't been nearly as good:
