I was talking about unifying imessage...

unified iMessage has always been there on the iPhone. You can add email. I've been using email as my caller ID so that my contacts' replies will also pop up on my iPad.

But the ability to add phone number is new to the iPad. :)

Can someone show a picture of the phone number addition in the iMessage menu? On my iPad 3 (Netherlands) i cant find that option only " add email address" but i love to add my mobile.

Sharing some numbers with you :

- Got increased score for Safari in Peacekeeper - 5.1.1 was 384 / 6b1 & b2 - 522 / 6b3 - 544
WebKit has been updated from 534.46 à 536.26. Safari version shows 6.0 now instead of 5.1. (7534.48.3 -> 8536.25).

- Geekbench score is slightly lower 753 vs 756. However, there are some improvements in the memory section.

I turned off iMessages on my iPhone and iPad and quit it on my MBP, then opened it up on the iPad first, then the iPhone then finally on my MBP and I got this a few mins later

Did the MBP running ML give you the option to add the phone number??? If so, how do I sign out on my MBA running ML(GM)?

How do I unify my iMessage account and phone number on the iPad?

log into appleid.apple.com make sure your phone number is saved

then go to your devices and toggle off iMessaging and then back on.

enter apple id password on iPhone and then wait for iPad to display a message stating your phone number was added and then continue to enter your apple id password again this time on the iPad.

BAM:)

When i open the camera and go the camera roll and press the share and press message it pop ups with the message ui and the picture

It works fine now... My phone's MMS Messaging is turned off with no reason. (not me, I never do that!) I don't know why but I always have the share > Messages on iOS 5.

I just looked up tel aviv...worked for me.

You don't quite understand.

I am in Glasgow, Scotland. I asked Siri to find me directions to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow, and Siri told me it can't search for directions in Isreal. When I ask Siri where I am, it tells me I am in Glasgow, Scotland.

oh..

just a glitch then.

Well not in the Netherlands, probably only US accounts? Nothing showing up in the iPad.

I just popped in my @me.com adress on the iphone, verified fine. Had phone number and @me for imessage,
On the iPad I entered @me.com account, verified and also entered my phone number. :)

I now have a "kr" symbol left of the "&" symbol on my keyboards.
Even with phone language and keyboard set to English.
It's not truly a symbol though, but rather the letters "k" and "r".
I don't see how swapping to the 123-keyboard to type that would save time.

Anyone else have this?
If so, what language(s) do you have on your device and keyboard?
Edit: General -> International -> Region Format is what determines if this symbol is visible or not.
Setting it to US replaced it with $.

Thanks! Do I need to be running iOS 6 on both my iPhone and iPad? Or, can I just have ios 6 on my iPad.

Now that I've logged out and back in, and then toggled off and back on, my phone number is grayed out on my i4 (AT&T) and just says iMessages will be received at my 2 email addresses. Before, it said receiving at 3 addresses and my number was one of them and not grayed out.

???

is anyone having a problem with siri reading your latest messages. I will get a text and tell her to read it and shell tell me i have no new messages when I clearly do.

actually, it wont even understand replying to a text at all.
