Did not get the error.

I wonder though if DND does not work occasionally for a small set of users and nobody reports it and its only made the news because of the day that's in it.

Could this just be a "normal" bug?

I've been using DND since it became available and this never happened to me before today 01/01/2013.

I love how we have all this advanced technology but we apparently still can't work out how to make a ****ing clock work properly

I woke up at around 7:15 local time and noticed my iPhone's DND was still on, but the iPad was off. Not a big deal for me and within 30 minutes of my noticing this, the iPhone's DND went off on its own.

"we've tried to reach you for the past 24 hours. I was trying to tell you that your son was hit by a drunk driver on new years eve. he passed away 2 minutes ago."

Aside from the facts not fitting my case, I consider such an attitude to be that of living in fear of life.

Why can't apple get these simple things right?
It just blows my mind.

Yet another fail. What's going on apple?
Are your programmers that hopeless?

So, the problem with not receiving call and msg notifications in the morning during one of the biggest hangovers is.....?

Software of all kind will always have bugs.

More at 11.

In all seriousness, people here are overreacting about this. It's a small bug.

As an Android fan, I'm more concerned about the Jelly Bean bug where paid apps won't let you stay logged in when you reboot your device. That's an annoying bug.

This DND thing is merely a one off minor annoyance. Calm down.

Scumbag Apple tried to create more Forever Alone guys this new year :p Or may be it was helping those who'd have partied hard and you know.. kind of tried to speak to their exes.

Mine is set to come out of DND at 5am.

Its 8:54 now, and no sign if DND.

No sign of issue here

The problem with this bug is that you can't program DND again. You can only turn it off and on manually. If you activate the program option it turns DND on again, regardless your schedule.

I had the issue, so for whatever reason it doesn't seem to be consistent. I have an iPhone 5 (AT&T).

It's just passed 1am on January 2 here in Australia, and my DND has not reactivated tonight, on both my iPhone and iPad. I've had to manually turn it on.

DND was fine on mine as well this morning. I've used the schedule feature since day 1 of it being available. Love it.

Happy New Year everyone!
