More unrealistic pipe dreams but here goes.

Quick reply to messages,
Speed up, or at least the option to speed up the animations,
Make the calendar better,
Dark theme.

oh and one more thing! A "kill all app" button in the multi-tasking menu would make life so much more easier.

Proper file manager that allows documents, videos etc to be stored accessed, edited and transferred would be awesome. I do lots of word work and would love to have an iDocuments folder to store and view all this work built right into the OS and able to backup to iCloud.

For next iPhone and IPad I want either a USB3 port or adapter allowing memory sticks and external HDD to be attached and data transferred back and forth.

If I had this file management and storage option then it would do away with my laptop and would cement me buying a new iPhone and iPad.

By time you do that and it communicates with the apps its just as quick to do it manually.

Post to Facebook and Twitter options in notification centre again.

A neat way to do this would be swipe up the home screen when in multitask.

My list:
- Delete all notifications (instead of having to x out each app's notifications)
- I do miss the appointment list view in the calendar app.
- Airdrop compatibility w/ my iMac.
- Ability in Safari to close all open windows.

Option to turn off animations and the swipe right to go back feature

I'm curious... why don't you like the swipe right to go back feature? You can still go back the old way right?

7.0.1 iPad performance fixed.
7.1.0 Support for new devices, iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 Retina.

Close all button, Safari Tabs.
End all button, multi-tasking.
Remove strict iCloud-Contacts requirement for GameCenter/AirDrop for CardDAV users.
AirDrop cross platform compatibility with Mac AirDrop and Intel Centrino WIFI Direct.

I would like the ability to speak a passphrase into headset / mic / siri for when i'm wearing gloves (will happen soon enough here in the Northeast) so I can log into my phone.

Optimization for iPad. Right now iOS 7 on iPad just feels like a blown up iPhone version. Siri and notification center shouldn't be full screen. Multitasking should display more than 3 cards, and folders shouldn't be only 9 apps per page.

All that extra screen real estate is being wasted in its current implementation.

There have been times where it would accidentally activate when I didnt want to go back. Its useful, but sometimes it just gets in the way. The option to decide whether we want it on or off would be nice. A toggle for it in control center would be handy too.

Got it... makes sense.

Realistically:
  • Promised alternative voices for Siri in the UK.
  • A-Z sidenav to return in the artists tab of the Music app.
  • Holding down a shortcut in control centre to take you to that screen in the settings app (as Auxo did - I want to hold the wifi toggle and be taken directly to the wifi settings page).
  • Notification Centre to only take up one line of space telling me I have no events today, rather than three empty lines.
  • Tweak to the angle where the search box is pulled down in the homescreen.
  • Fixes to turning the screen off during calls.

Less realistically
  • Cue up next feature for the music app.
  • Ability to set up your own dynamic wallpapers.
  • Calendar app to show a summary of the day's events in month view again.

Implausibly (at least on a .x release)
  • Airdrop to allow Bluetooth LE transfer to non-Apple devices.
  • Custom notification centre options.
  • Vastly improved intents system.
  • Sideload external applications.
  • Centralised offline document folder that mounts under USB and is readable or writeable to all applications.
  • To be able to select individual words in text messages to copy and paste.
  • App store search results to go back to >iOS5 style list rather than full screen.
  • Ability to see and edit photo metadata (filename in particular).
  • Android-esque mark all notifications as read.
  • Change default map app.

I think it's safe to say that 7.0.1/7.1/7.X.X won't have any new features. The updates will only feature bug fixes and improvements to make the OS run smoother. Any one else agree with this?

7.0.1/7.0.2 won't have any new features, but I think it's quite likely 7.1 will at the very least have some of the things that were announced and are not in 7.0, such as iOS7 in car, the alternative Siri voices ex US and iCloud Keychain.

Some kind of multitasking gesture like the iPad, or the ability to customize control center and use that to access multitasking. Double tapping the home button constantly is getting old. The old fonts in the early builds of iOS 7 were very pleasing to the eye, I really dislike the huge text. Notification center is a huge example of this. Animations are also way too slow and limit how fast I can navigate around my phone. iOS 7 calender seems like a huge step back.

 That doesn't make any sense to me. Typo?

right now, say if you browse to an artist in the music app...let's say the Beatles...
it'll list all of their songs.. albeit grouped in an album.
this is fine for someone with 2 or three albums...but for the Beatles - it makes it hard to go to a song in a specific, say Sgt peppers album
in the old app, you click on an artist, then you click on the album and then you can choose the song. more more organized.
