General iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak released

Ugh. I went ahead and updated from 7.0.6 to 7.1.2 and did the j/b. I did a complete fresh restore first, updated to 7.1.2, then j/b.

I wish I hadn't.

Those are the only REQUIRED items I need.

I would like keep my themes going as well, so... I went and downloaded Jaku and Elite. Also, installed Iconoclasm and Springtomize 3.

Constant reboots to safe mode with either of those two installed.

biteSMS is working fine with me on 7.1.2

It's probably a conflicting tweak. Download crash reporter and see if that gives you any suspect of what might be conflicting with biteSMS

I've narrowed it down to happening ONLY when iconoclasm is enabled and I long press on an icon that is in a group folder. Otherwise, no problems.

I'm in the process of removing everything and seeing if iconoclasm is the only cause, and then adding my tweaks one at a time.

The only things I have installed right now though; bitesms, iconomatic, winterboard, and colorbadges.

Does iOS8 do anything with lock screen like intellisync X does? How about custom notification sounds and different notification sounds for each mail account? Those are some of my reasons for JB… Not to mention bitesms

Oh I jailbreak for more than bitesms but that was the main ... Lol I miss my jb for playing utube audio in the background / intelli / Iblacklist (sorry that block feature on iOS sucks ) / oh and being able to select all to delete your emails lol

if i want to upgrade to iOS 8 (from IOS 7.1.1,when IOS8 is available),can i straight away upgrade it? because my 5S is jailbroken (pangu)...
i heard my friend mention about SHSH and tiny umbrella...do i need to backup SHSH? but i very confuse, i don't really know what does SHSH mean...

An OTA update won't work. But yeah you can update via iTunes to iOS 8 when it is available later this week. But if you want to use the GM later today or tomorrow, you'll need to do a backup and full restore.

As far as I know, you can't update any jailbroken iOS. You can only restore, or else you won't be able to boot.

An iTunes update will work on a jailbroken device. Many did that went updating for Pangu. Updated to 7.1.2 and then ran Pangu to rejailbreak.

Historically upgrading doesn't work well between major versions. I ended up having to restore when going from 6 to 7

Yes I agree. I've always itunes full restored next firmware. But since they asked if they could update, I was giving that info.

You don't need to worry about saving your SHSH blob for your 5s. Only need to save them on iPhone 4 or earlier and not applicable even for iOS 7.x

If you are interested in iOS 7.1.2 Jaibreak With Pangu you can read there good how to but there are more good sources.

First I as a quite suspicious about Jailbreak but now have to agree that Cydia was one of the most genius inventions in the apple store history.
