Battery Drain Issue Resolution (for Me)

The following resolved my battery drain and WiFi connectivity issues that occurred after installing iOs 7.1.1:

1. Backed up my iPad Air

2. Installed the iOS 7.1.2 update via my iMac / latest version of iTunes

3. Rest settings: General / Reset / Reset All Settings

Battery percentage immediately jumped from 97% to 100% after reset. Battery discharge has been normal under normal and heavy usage. WiFi connectivity remains stable. Have tested WiFi stability on three different networks. No issues.

I'm seeing better battery life since 7.1.2
It is a fact, that the CPU has a load between 1.5 and 3.5% while on 7.1.1 it was always between 5 and 14%. I've never seen my CPU on a lower load then 5% earlier.

Let's see how this goes the next days.
I'm on iPhone 5, iOS 7.1.2

What are you using to determine CPU load?

System status Lite from Jiri Techet and couple of other system status tools from the App Store.
I tried more then one to see if they all show me the same.

This has been a great update for me. With 7.1.1 everything was very choppy it was making me want the iPhone 6 when it comes out. My 4S is suddenly much quicker with 7.1.2. I know it's not as fast as a 5 or 5S, but it was way too slow with 7.1.1. Funny thing is my wife's 4S was ok on 7.1.1.

Oh well, happy iOS user again.
