I can hear that on iOS 7.0.4 too. Not very noticeable though, I have to put the speaker, right next to my ear. But maybe in your case, the volume is higher on iOS 7.1, so it bothers you more.

thanks, seems that it was designed like that if it wasn't fixed with 2 beta releases :/
It's been like that since the early days of iOS 7.0 and still seems to be like that despite some calendar related changes in iOS 7.1. Seems like an oversight even if it was due to an actual design decision if some sort. Hopefully it will get changed at some point.
Strangely, while I've come across this a couple or so times running various versions of iOS 7 since last June, I already encountered this a few times just in the past few days since installing iOS 7.1 beta 5.
(And, yes, a restart usually gets rid of it, but that doesn't quite explain what it's doing there to begin with, especially now that it's coming up more frequently than before.)
