I don't know if they should be ashamed or not, but iOS 7 has been a disappointment on 64 bit devices. Stability is the most important thing in an OS. I don't care about the design as much, I want something that just works. This is not the case on the iPad unfortunately. The iPhone version is much better and works really well, especially with 7.1.

On my iPad 2 I would say that it runs iOS 7 much better than my Air.

The developers at Wallax and IKEA don't know Apple's internal plans.

Yeah but the description that it's 7.1 ready is on the App store so maybe they are right. :)

Does Apple stagger their updates when they get released so as not to bring down their servers from the millions who are trying to update at once?

Don't think so. When IOS 7 was released the download was so slow for me it would time out. I left it a day before trying again.

From what I have read iOS 7.1 seems to be the most antipated update ever. But really guys how you all are behaving (including myself) is as if iOS 7.1 will fix EVERY single bug or problem you have with iOS. As any other developer will tell you, there is no software that is flawless there is always room for improvement. I have to confess that I have hit the refresh button on Macrumors a lot to see if it's out, but what we need to do is just let it be release when it's time for it to be released. Which would you prefer: 1)They rush iOS 7.1 release it quickly and it's buggy or 2) Wait until it's ready for prime time and has very minimal bugs. And I really don't think and wishing Apple to release iOS 7.1 will cause it to be release any faster. Just my two cents :)

That's pretty sad when your x.1 update is even more anticipated than iOS 7 itself. Hopefully the extra time has been used to squash the show stopping bugs. I'm just looking for a fluid UI like I have with my iPad 3 running iOS 5.

Don't think point 1 is even possible anymore with how long we have been waiting.

If they bring it out today and it has bugs I'm not gonna say '' sjeez they really rushed that update after 6 months ''

You are correct. Cant wish it into existence. However for the folks with the newer devices (the 64bit) that have had issues since they got it I would say release because 7.1 beta 5 was already WAY better than 7.0.4. Then could release 7.1.1 with any additional items. I think that would be a better option myself.

Just got an email from my corp office saying not to install the new IOS7.1 on corp iphones due to current issues incompatibility with certain sw... probably the CISCO/JUNO VPN stuff. In either case per the email it's out this week so for the rest of you.. that probably means IOS7.1 Tuesday or Wednesday :)

Sweet, thanks for the info. Has Apple ever released updates on a Monday?

I heard the daylight savings was messing them up. Now that it is over they can release 7.1

The funny thing is, the thing I wanted most was Safari to stop crashing on my Ipad and now it barely crashes. Maybe I am just avoiding the sites that crash or the sites are optimizing before Apple.

Just another day of false hopes.

Lolz, just a normal day for me brah, just another normal day.

Come on 7.1, drop you bastard... Drop!

Going to bed, looking forward to the download tomorrow morning.

Yeah, I still stick around this thread to see the reactions at 1pm. There will be a few sad faces, a few suicide posts, and a couple smartasses saying "it's out!", then they'll get a few death threats for posting that. It's very comedic.

I don't know how developing for iOS 7.1 is different than for iOS 7.0, but if there are differences, it would make sense for Apple to only approve apps updated for iOS 7.1 when the launch is near.

Has Beta 5 timebombed yet? I would expect that it is going to soon (it's been more than 30 days), so Apple really needs to release another Beta if they have no intention of releasing the GM now.

Beta5 expires April 14. I expect 7.1 today. I saw that Citrix updated its app for 7.1. We'll see

look like around the 15th like always... its frustrating to wait thou! since they released the SXSW app, i dont see it being released b4 the 14th now. they wont release when all the big names in tech are at a festival. don't want them all to be watching a concert and worrying about updating iPhone. haha, jk.

this is a small update. phone will look the same. haha
