Well, iOS 7.1 beta 5 seems to expire on Monday, April 14, 2014, so at least that's practically a certainty that some sort of an update (a beta update, a GM, or a public release) would have to come no later than that day.

----------

What sort of information about release timing can you expect? It's all just guessing, it's never really anything more than that.

I don't expect any information (other than the usual, somewhat trustworthy leaks).

It seems that the IAP and/or CarPlay (or whatevery it's called) issues may have delayed the iOS 7.1 release, and that the new iTunes Festival app is likely to require iOS 7.1 so that we can assume it definitely will be released well before that event.

Other than that, these random guesses are not helpful in any way. They just create false hope and annoy people.
That's all this thread has become, sadly. Just throwing around random dates until it gets released.
"Tomorrow!" "In a year for sure, hurr durr!" "February 30!" "..."

Dont forget that major security issue (SSL) still is not fixed for beta testers. So can't understand why they don't release atleast beta 6 while on iOS 7.0 they released beta only for iTunes store bug fix....

I still believe the story that the iTunes Festival app requires 7.1. In the past, Apple has released the app a week before the Festival started. The fact that the app still isn't available lends some credibility to that.

shouldnt the app be out by now since the festival starts on tuesday? we are now past the timeframe of a week before the festival.

exactly

appearently theres something going on at apple, smth they didnt predict

Or the whole iTunes festival theory does not stand....

Well, there's still tomorrow. Then people would have the weekend to update. I agree that a day would be very short period to expect users to install it.

After going through 4 days in a row... I am not expecting tomorrow...it more and more like to be next week... Anyway...I am not i hurry as I am waiting for iOS 7.1 jailbreak

well, if they dont release that itunes app today, they can only do it tomorrow or monday. mondays too close to the festival, so tomorrow. did they ever release smth on a friday? or a weekend?

the fact they didnt release that app tells me smth is wrong. not necessarily with 7.1

Yeah, it should be. I feel like something is holding up the release of 7.1. And it very well could be the IAP issue.

I gave up on expecting it any time soon, too. Who cares, anyway. It's annoying, sure, but I shouldn't let such a meaningless thing get to me ;)

I have better things to do than to wait for something I cannot control. It will come whenever it will come.
Got to say, though, that these issues definitely make me worry about the future of OS X. Will it become such a mess as well?

This entire thread is random guesses. 100% of it. No one except the folks at Apple know. Not the folks on twitter, or tech blogs or Gruber or anyone here. Its ALL guesses and speculation and rumor and hope. The best guess was the April 14th as that is when Beta 5 expires so something more than likely would happen before then. But think about it, If Apple was planning on a March 5 or 6 date why would they expire the beta on April 14? Typically the betas are about 30 days out from the previous if I recall so that could be the March 14th that some other rumor sites had reported (Around March 15......) I believe is what they said. Anyway relax, and dont get so annoyed if someone says a date you dont want to hear. :)

That is mostly what these kinds of threads have always been about, nothing really new there.

so, all in all

they announced carplay, yet no update to actually enable that functionality

they announced itunes festival, yet no app for it

ssl fix on mavericks, yet none on ios

a month after the last beta, yet no new beta or gm

whats going on apple?

There's no real pattern to beta expirations and how they relate to releases either. For example, the last iOS 7.0 beta was set to expire on October 6, 2013, while the release of 7.0 happened on September 18, 2013.

7.0.6 is the SSL fix for iOS

SSL fix was in iOS even before Mavericks. Fixing issue in non-public/beta releases, that's a whole different thing--it's not to say that it shouldn't be done, but it's also not to say that it wasn't fixed in iOS either for the public.

Don't complain about pre release, beta software that should only be deployed to development devices in a development environment, not receiving it.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you are updating to 7.1 and losing jailbreak?
