This is what I thought..... I think the illusion that it was downloading is what people are remembering. I am relatively new to the iPhone coming from Android. When I changed about 1.5 years ago the one thing I remember that bothered me about the iPhone was the download/install procedure for apps. It feels like now its doing what Android has always done (not trying to be "that" person with that statement)

I used to get a "waiting" on apps that were pending while one downloaded and installed. I think while one was installing the other would start downloading but I have not ever seen then download together til now (I dont even remember seeing this on Beta 2).
It's easiest to see when restoring from an iCloud backup. It'll download ~5 at a time. I haven't had a 4S in a year though but that's definitely the way it works on the 5.

Beta 3 iRadio gives the message "Network Unavailable," when lockscreen engages. Beta 2 had the same problem. It doesn't happen every time. But, it happens enough to be irritating.
More annoying is how iTunes Radio always starts at the beginning of the station (does that make sense?). It never remembers where you stopped listening, instead starts 3-4 songs back. I can't wait for them to fix that bug.

I noticed that the lightning bolt near the battery doesn't pulsate like in Beta 2 when it's charging. It's just a stationary lightning bolt. So how do you know when the battery is fully charged on Beta 3?
When it's at 100% you are good to go for all practical reasons.

Okay. But in iOS 6 when the iPhone is plugged in a charging and it's completely 100%. A little plug would illuminate and let you know it's fully charged. Sometimes even though it says 100% it's still not fully charged since the lightning bolt would still be showing and basically saying it's still charging. That's in iOS 6.

It was the high contrast setting... It's back to normal now... :)

Its a 4S...

Do you also get the black screen on homescreen ? It happends to me on my 4s since the first beta.

If i open an app and close it, when im back in the homescreen it turns black and i have to lock and unlock it for it to go back to normal.

It happened a couple of times in Beta 2... Haven't noticed it so far in Beta 3...

It keeps happening for me, what ive been doing is not closing apps right away or just leaving for example "settings" open the home doesnt crash.

Try a hard reboot... It might help... Or then a fresh install...

How did you up it to b3...? OTA or a fresh download of the ipsw...?

Fresh install/downloaded ipsw on all betas, ive even try OTA but the problem still happends lol

*scratching head*

maybe a particular setting is clashing with some app (doesn't seem likely)... Why don't you hard boot and do a "reset all settings"... If all else fails a fresh install is your only hope... i.e. don't restore from a backup... Set it up as a new phone...

Right I understand that. What I'm basically saying is that when you see 100% you can consider it fully charged even if there's some tiny amount that it could potentially still charge for if left plugged in for another few minutes--it basically doesn't play any meaningful/noticeable role.

That said, it's strange they changed it and having it the "old" way certainly didn't hurt.

Yeah done that too cause most of the time it solves everything but still the same issue, i must if you ever been jailbroken and used the "multifl0w" tweak (multitask like ios7) it had the same problem on ios5-ios6, sometimes wallpaper crashed

Close all your open apps, then open one and double tap --> swipe to close and see if you can replicate it.

Ps. Sorry for the english :D

Yup... Could replicate it... Maybe they have bought over the multiflow tweak... Hence, the code is the same and therefore the same bug... :p

Probably has been mentioned somewhere, but I found this today. iMessage now recognize dates, and proposes you to create an event based on that date. However, every option, once clicked, just crashes Messages.

It's in Swedish, here's a translation:
"I morgon kväll" = "Tomorrow night"
"Visa i kalendern" = "Show in calendar"
"Skapa aktivitet" = "Create activity"
"Kopiera" = "Copy"

This has been in Mail for a long time, but seems like Apple is expanding this feature throughout the whole OS. It's a great addition!

Actually, it was first introduced in Mac OS 8 as "data detectors".

I just discovered a new feature that I've not seen mentioned anywhere (and yes, I've looked): autocorrect is now enabled when typing "up against" another word.

Previously, autocorrect only worked when the character to the right of the cursor was a space. When adding a word between two others, you either had to add an extra space and carefully place the cursor between the two, or forgo autocorrect and add the new word very carefully. Now, iOS seems to better differentiate between the word you're typing and the ones that are already there, helpfully suggesting corrections even if you're pushing another word along in front of the cursor.

This is kind of hard to explain; hopefully you guys get what I mean — it's long been one of my biggest little annoyances with the OS, and I'm so glad to see it fixed!

I believe I know exactly what you are talking about, but I don't think I've noticed that change in iOS 7. I'll try to keep an eye out for it to double-check.

It's really working as said, If you type another word right next a word previously typed, it will auto correct!

Thanks for the find. I'll include it in the list! :)

Yeah, I just played around with it specifically and it looks like it does that now, which is good. One new thing that it seems to be doing more is trying to autocorrect more than one word at a time, sometimes trying to change the last two or three words together, which is less useful as you might need to correct one particular word, but seldom would you need to correct a while phrase with that word.

Hi there!
I've read all this wonderful comments, I'm really excited about iOS 7. I think it's a great and needed jump in the smartphone race.

Have you tried the new dictionary included in iOS 7?? It's pretty amazing! Select one word and press DEFINE. If the word exits in moré of one language, you can look at it too. Definitions are very exhaustive, with examples.

Try it!!

;)

Icon updates

I'm running iOS6, but it seems to me like some developers may have recently updated their icons to the iOS7 specifications, but then again iOS 7 icons are supposed to be larger, so maybe not?

Any examples of which developers/apps?

See 3rd parties will show Apple the way. :)
