Does anyone know if the iOS 7 Voice Memo app limits you to 8 minutes in order to make it emailable?
In the current Voice Memo app, if I go above 8 minutes it says it's too big to email. It isn't. It's nowhere NEAR the 20MB limit of most email providers and even further from Gmail's 25MB.
Makes no sense...

I hope that people eventually will learn that iOS multitasking is not the crappy thing that you have in other operating systems where they burden user with manual task management. You don't have to babysit your iPhone software, it knows perfectly fine how to allocate resources between apps so that they don't drain battery and other resources in background. Most of the apps that you see "running" in multitasking screen aren't actually even running, but are suspended and you see not their actual screen in preview, but a static screenshot of their most recent state.
The only situation when you need to manually close an app in iOS is when it's froze or stopped working properly due to some bug. So feature like "close all" is the most useless thing that's possible to do for iOS multitasking.

You can repeat this until you're blue in the face but people have the placebo effect when they look at that list.

Being a developer and have 100% complete understanding of the operation of the multitask list and my family still thinks i'm full of it and are convinced "all those apps are hogging battery/memory..." *sigh*

Feature questions???

I have a few questions hopefully someone can answer.

1. Does the Photos App allow you to create albums without having duplicate pictures

2.Does tabs work the same for the ipad as it does for the iphone

3.can you finally opt out of a group message

I have had no freezes or reboots yet (had a few a day on B1)

Few things I have noticed:

-I had the keyboard appear then remain with the phone even when "homed" out, had to reboot to get rid of it (that was first reboot) hastnt happened again.

-I keep getting icloud messages to enter password.

-My lock screen seems to be buggy.

-The clock keeps jumping from the middle to the top.

-Also sometimes when I switch between orientations the status bar remains on the side even though the rest of the phone is back in portrait.

anyone seeing any of these?

Very happy with this update. The OS seems to be running much smoother and faster. The music App which was the buggiest App before has definately been massively improved and 3rd apps that were having issues seem to be working better for me as well, with the exception of ebay which still wont load past the splash screen. Also battery life seems to be quite improved as well.

Black or White

I have a white and a black model of both the iPhone 5 and the iPad. During the transition from the Apple logo to the new welcome screen, I noticed only on the white models of each device that the color was reversed, a black apple on a white screen. Has anyone seen this? Was wondering if this was color-specific to the device? Since I only saw two devices do it, I don't know for sure, but a friend of mine had a white iPhone 5 do the same thing, and I didn't see the black-on-white version on any of my black devices

... the dock looks like it's not finished to me, I'd be surprised if it goes live looking like that.

Yep, def a bug - it works fine with the dynamic wallpapers, just not static ones. It also doesn't crop properly while on the preview screen, and freezes a bit while you select it. Which is a good thing, in this case!

Just on the welcome screen, not on the turning it on and off screens?

I think I'd quite like colour specific themes, say black chrome in Safari on a black device, so it blends in with the bezel really bringing the content to the fore, for example.

Yep. Just where the boot logo transitions to the welcome screen. But I would like more color specific stuff too

It allows me to accept the certificates in wifi now, so I can use wifi at work. :)

I would really like them to remove the .com button in safari. Now there is a unified search/address bar, it really gets in the way.

Can someone tell me if you can read song lyrics in the iPad version of music? I know you can't in iOS 6, which is sad because I spent about 20 hours putting lyrics in my 3,000+ song library

Not working for me.

Can install iOS7 if I clean install 6.1.3 first. If I restore from backup then it just stays on the apple logo at bootup. Funny thing is that it didn't do that with Beta 1. Will hold out for Beta 3

I have all the same minus the keyboard issue.

I believe the icloud password is due to background app updating or other access

The icons are mediocre at best, which seems to be the new visual design norm for Apple, a company known for design (both functional and visual). Get over not caring/knowing.

Seen how far the stock price of Apple has plunged in the last week?

Sorry! But the icons are fine! If they had not changed iOS you would have been here complaining about that!

Like i said before...icons are fine....get over it

1. Beat 2, unlike beta 1, works fine with Hebrew and possibly so with other RTL languages.

2. Funny thing about RTL - in beta 2 they invert the whole "page". So if you want to send txt msg from contact, the symbol is on the left side, not the right side. Also in notifications at lock screen the whole text is aligned right-ways.

3. Music: it's impossible to delete nothing but one song at a time, unlike iOS 6 (important feature to clear up memory fast)

Countdown timer on lock screen

Cool little feature my wife discovered today.

When you have a countdown timer set, the countdown will display on lock screen. Do not know if this was issued in the Beta2 release or iOS7 in general, but it is very useful. No more sliding to unlock everytime you want to see how much time is left!

Not sure if it has been posted yet. Here is a pic from her screen.
