Coming from a guy who puts a clock in the "garbage" folder ;)

Ha! Love that the "Main" folder has "Twitter", "Facebook" and more social networking apps, yet the "Garbage" folder consists of productivity applications/utilities. ;)

(and the "Phone" app is secondary on a smartphone)

I hope we eventually see a "close all" button from the multitasking thing. The whole flipping up to completely close apps out takes longer than just tapping the little X like in iOS 6.

Is anyone having an infinite loading loop of macrumors.com in iOS7 beta 2 - happens Safari, Roccat and Chrome (all three browser I have) it's really annoying.

Also can't remove or delete apps as every time I hold down it resprings  anyone else having these problems?

Having the same 'reloading issue' with Macrumors, yes.

----------

can anybody comment on the notification banner? does it still block the top buttons when it appears? massive pain in the ass having to wait for it to disappear, or scroll down to make it disappear

It does. But you can swipe it up to get rid of it.

Agreed. If Apple have taken the iOS7 multitasking from the jailbreak tweak (auxo?) they should throw in the option to hold down on an app icon in the MT bar then you are given the option to close all.

Anyone figure out how to rate a out of 5 stars on ios 7? You can keep your useless voice memo app I want to be able to rate and sync my ratings with itunes again please.

Anyone else having issues the time in the drop down notification pull down??

WOW! Really really like the facetime contacts (different look from regular contacts). I LOVE the black version of contacts. Apple please please please include a 'dark/night/black' mode in your OS.

I used to use invert colors because I liked the darker look. This dark contacts lists looks like a great step in that direction.

Maybe they will? Accents? Different colors? It's rumored apple may be producing a lower cost iPhone with different colors. Seeing as almost everything is transparent they could do the 'aero' take to color themeing to match the color of your next iPhone. They could be holding this feature back until they announce new hardware or for future betas.

Johnny Ive into the mix.

Hmmm....

I'm calling it.

Icons are fine! Get over it!

The icons are mediocre at best, which seems to be the new visual design norm for Apple, a company known for design (both functional and visual). Get over not caring/knowing.

Seen how far the stock price of Apple has plunged in the last week?

Anyone else still have to old Siri voice after update? I get the male voice. Both sound pretty robotic, nothing like the YouTube videos of voice comparisons, mine sound robotic like Siri 1. Could being in Canada a factor?

Where's the Camera timer? You know....the 2 sec, 10 second.....take family photo or night shot crap?

Seriously....how many lines of code is it to implement a basic feature that's been in smart phones the last 4-5 years? GEEEEEEEEEEZ

The design is very ugly. I admit my main reason to buy the Ipod touch a few years ago was the beautiful design of the device with the metal back and the beautiful icons. Now this new iOS looks very ugly, like Windows 8.

Not buying it!

I love some of the interface changes but the graphic design behind so much of it breaks all convention for what is normally considered half decent graphic design work. Ives is brilliant with his industrial design but the subtleness of his design in IOS 7 is a recipe for some of the worst eye strain imaginable.... even on young eyes. When you have thin white fonts appearing on mostly white backgrounds have fun, when you're eyes are feeling like they're bleeding for some strange reason you can thank that design. Hot(over saturated) colors are also no good. There's nothing worse than looking at a bright red on top of a bright blue and why not toss in a bright yellow while you're at it. The current look is an abortion color/font/design wise. I don't care if you're 22, I guarantee you that if you stick with the stock settings, in 3-4 months you'll be constantly messing with the brightness controls on the phone, and eventually finding yourself in the "Accessibility" settings you think are for "old people".

When I got my iPad my iPhone became nearly useless to me. Of course not for phone calls and annoying as hell text messages. But I just enjoyed having more screen real-estate for doing other things. It's not a replacement for a desktop or laptop, but a great something in between the iphone and iMac... my favorite way to read books now.

Until I see some improvements in the horrid hot colors and thin white fonts on white backgrounds.... I'm not upgrading my iPhone or iPad. I'm looking forward to seeing what the new Mac Pro is like in person and potentially getting one... but Apple can forget about getting my business for upgrading. I have a hard time believing Jobs wouldn't have had the same issues.

iOS7 crash

O o, after I changed time settings my iPad rebooted and hung forever.
Pressing both buttons (until Apple-sign re-appeared or longer for 3+ minutes) didn't solve the issue. iTunes wasn't able to restore. In the end I was able to wipe the device (Find Phone app) and re-install iOS7. Keep fingers crossed it remains stable now.

I would love to meet the person who is actually stumped by the unlock process on the lock screen given the fact that it is exactly the same motion that iOS users have been using since day one. If any of you had trouble figuring this out please let us know (prediction: this didn't actually confuse anyone).

Actually it's confused everyone I've given the phone to to show iOS 7, ALL have swiped up from the lock screen and then looked confused at the Control Centre. Also being left handed and seeing "Swipe to unlock" I naturally swipe right to left with my thumb which does nothing. It's nothing to do with previous versions of iOS - Apple made iOS great by making it easily accessible for all, now you need previous knowledge where before it was all intuitive. Sounds a little "Androidy" to me.

Beta 1 was bad.
The animations were too slow and made the phone feel very slow. iPhone is never knows for that. Now they have adjusted the animation speed in the beta 2. iOS is doing the right progress with its new beta releases.

I'm glad about HDR on the iPad. That's one of the first things I enable on my jail broken iPad. Next question is: Voice Control on iPad?

Does the note about the Music app having numerous bug fixes mean that smart playlists now work properly? Including nested playlists etc?

Has anyone been able to test this?

I hope that people eventually will learn that iOS multitasking is not the crappy thing that you have in other operating systems where they burden user with manual task management. You don't have to babysit your iPhone software, it knows perfectly fine how to allocate resources between apps so that they don't drain battery and other resources in background. Most of the apps that you see "running" in multitasking screen aren't actually even running, but are suspended and you see not their actual screen in preview, but a static screenshot of their most recent state.
The only situation when you need to manually close an app in iOS is when it's froze or stopped working properly due to some bug. So feature like "close all" is the most useless thing that's possible to do for iOS multitasking.
