Mine stays at 100% for 45 minutes before starting to decrease. 3 hour 9 minutes standby and 1 hour 39 minutes of usage and I'm now at 83%. I'm on wifi. All the usual features associated with battery hog such as Parallax and Background App Refresh are disabled.

I don't know how they managed to make battery life worse, but I've dropped 8% in 11 minutes with beta 3. Wtf.

From just this morning's experience for me, battery is worse. 100% to 68% by the time I got to work!

I had been using Spotify for iOS 4 so I don't know whether that app uses more battery than the new version?

Gsm iphone 5 here with clean install, no backups restored. No problems at all, unlike with previous OTA update attempts..

Reset all settings.

Well I think any app that's not optimized for your OS will probably have subpar performance, so maybe try the newest version until they can optimize it for ios 7.

On a 4S here.

Don't have Background App Refresh on and only Auto Update apps etc when charging. I also haven't used Bluetooth since last charge - but that's just because I've had no need rather than a conscious decision.

Other than that no restrictions so Parallax, WiFi, Location Services etc all on.

I'm currently at 9% with 4 Hours 37 Mins usage, 15 hours 22 mins standby.

Whilst not approaching production build iOS 6 levels, that's a big improvement on the previous iOS 7 betas.

Still, early days yet.

I always do clean installs and always reset all settings + turn off all the usual features. Beta 1 was brutal, beta 2 was a slight improvement, beta 3 feels like beta 1 again or worse.

The newest version doesn't work with beta 3 (I made a thread about it).

It was just a suggestion. That being said, even an iOS 4 app shouldn't reduce the battery by 32% in 2 hours!

Isn't it strange how much difference certain apps and settings must make?

My experience has been the complete opposite.

Surprisingly good on Beta 1, poor experience as a whole on 2 and now best, so far, on 3.

With the exception of not using auto updates other than when on charge, I've not compromised any other settings.

Beta 2 had better battery life for me than iOS6, and beta 3 seems close. The biggest battery drain was actually talking on the phone, and I haven't had a chance to do much of that since installing beta 3 so I'll have to see over the coming days. Obviously being on WiFi will make the biggest difference when using the phone because cellular radios use a whole lot more battery.

mine is Great

I tested beta 1 , 2 and remove them due to battery life ..... but with this new beat i returned back to iOS7 ...

every thing is Working Smooooooooooooooth ....:D

its been about 12 hours since i download it and my battery Work Very Well ...

from 100% at 5am and now its 68% at 4pm ( 11 Hours ) With 4G on and all Activities running .

just Facebook and Whatsapp and some Youtubes and safari ,,,,, All great .

After that I have to say That NO WAY BACK TO iOS6 again ...........;):apple:

Was off charger at 8am, ran GPS for 5 minutes, Facebook for 10 minutes, Twitter for a few minutes, and listened to a 45 minute podcast. Still at 100%. The Podcast app is definitely better with beta 3 than with beta 2. Was having insane heat issues running that app on beta 2.

Me too.

After 50 minutes of disconnecting it from power, including 10 minutes of music via bluetooth, 5-10 minutes of Kindle, checking Mail and Twitter and some other random stuff (no games or videos), my iPhone 5 is still at 100%.

Which I find strange. Too good to be true.

It's now down to 93% after using it for about 15 minutes straight, but I feel it's doing way better than iOS 6.1.4. I had pretty good luck while on iOS 7 beta 2 as well, minus the podcast issue throwing out heat.

Mine seems way worse. I pulled my iPad Mini of charge and it instantly dropped from 100% to 98%?! My iPhone 5 is also burning battery much quicker as well. Unfortunately my boss hasn't added my devices so I can't do a fresh install until my ID's are in the system. Ugh

My battery seems to be doing fine. The only problems I had with batter on my iPhone 5 were with beta 1.

same here...

Beta 1 wasn't awful, but certainly worse than iOS 6
Beta 2 was an improvement, but still noticeably worse than iOS 6 (like 3-4 hours of usage vs. the usual 5-7

so far Beta 3 is the best battery life i've had on iOS 7, if not still off iOS6 life a tiny bit.

I haven't had much of a complaint on battery life with the betas, but wow. Beta 3 has been absolutely atrocious. I always do a clean install just to start clean and I just made a 10 minute call over talkatone and dropped from 100% to 84%. I have never seen a drop so rapid on any phone, and I had the infamously terrible on battery life Verizon Gnex. Wonder what is causing the drainage this time around.

seems consistent with me

Battery is at 86%

1 Hour, 29 Minutes usage
4 Hours, 27 Minutes standby

twitter checks, email checks, forum browsing, texting, couple of phone calls

e: this is with bluetooth and background app refresh both turned on

I'm hurting here. Dropping 1% about every 2 min. Not doing anything! Light web surfing and email. No phone calls, nothing. Arg!

A clean install this bad? Tried resetting all settings?

I am getting horrible battery on beta 3 it's insane.. Is there anyway to fix that?!?!

By installing from an ipsw file or resetting all settings.
