I installed beta 3 through ipsw on iTunes manually .. I'm afraid to reset everything and it's still not work.. I mean what's the point if you're usually going to redownload the apps you had.. Has anybody found resetting your iPhone a cure for the battery lost?!?..
I simply turned off app background refresh and that helped me a lot.

my results

For me it seems to be hit or miss but it's still a huge increase over b2 for my iPhone 5. After seeing this thread I decided to register for the forum so I could add my results.

Yesterday I charged the phone overnight and took it off the charger at 6 AM and I documented these results with 35% battery life remaining:
Usage: 5 hours, 29 minutes
Standby: 14 hours, 41 minutes

This was with wifi and bluetooth on the whole time, itunes radio for about 30 min. 20-30 min worth of phone calls, and miscellaneous email checking, about 2 hours of web browsing over the course of the day, automatic app updating off, and most location based services enabled except for "System Services" -> Location based iAds, Popular near me, and Setting Time Zone all disabled. It's worth noting that all day I was in a 4G service area as opposed to LTE.

Today I'm in an LTE enabled area and with the same settings enabled/disabled, 30 minutes of iTunes radio streamed, about 15-20 minutes in phone calls and about an hour of web browsing I'm at 47% with:
Usage: 2 hours, 49 minutes
Standby: 6 hours, 1 minute.

I want to believe the LTE is the contributing factor in the difference in battery life but I'll probably have a better idea of that over the weekend since my signal in the house is 4G and can spend a day comparing.

Anyone else seen similar results to this?

I pretty much leave everything on except LTE, i believe ATT's LTE in my area causes huge drain.

Wifi on (I work from home so on wifi all day). BT always on as I have BT in all cars, also have a Pebble smart watch and fitbit flex that sync over BT
Push email with exchange is on
Background app updating is on

I hate disabling features.

Right now I am at 56% battery
Usage: 2 hrs 55 min
Standby 7 hrs 59 min

I'm pretty happy with that overall. Beta 3 is the best of the bunch for me so far.

BTW, did my update OTA and have NOT reset settings

iPhone 4s, ABYSMAL battery life after fresh install. I'm talking about less than 3 hours checking mail, surfing twitter and taking a few short phone calls.

Well another screenshot, really impresive with battery lífe on ios 7 b3 :)

Most of the time, fb, whatsapp and Safari. All day wifi turn on, brigthness 40%.

Mobile Data turned off ?
2g ?

If its yes to above, then I believe its definitely has to do with the radio logic in B3 and causing drain. Might also be related to the logic of 4G/LTE display which would mean they are playing around that part of the code

yes today i dont used mobile data.

The battery when i do the trickle charge...from 100% to 99 % can take 30 minutes...after that drain quite fast, especially if 3G is on. When i don't turn on cellular data, the battery quite OK.

Im getting about 5 hours of usage on my 4S, doing things like web browsing, playing music, twitter & Facebook and some gaming using wifi mainly. I have disabled background app refresh, bluetooth and most of the location services apart from find my iPhone, network search and wifi networking. I clean installed twice, first time I was getting the phone going into dfu mode a few times a day, but second time I haven't had it so far.

Heres day 1&2 screenshots

I charged my iPhone 5 running beta 3 to 100% and took it off the charger at 5:00 AM. I woke up at 12:30 PM and the battery was still at a good 100%. It's 9:10 PM now and my battery is 5%. These results are MUCH worse than what I'd experienced with iOS 6. Here's my usage:

By the way, this is even after a clean install and restoring/setting my phone up as new. On iOS 6 I could probably get 2 more hours of usage.

I got a great run today!

I mostly listened to music and browsed on Safari, played NSFU a bit and some other light games.

12 hours?!!?? That's ridiculous. I'd kill to have that battery life.

Music takes little juice. The iP5 is rated for 40 hours just playing locally stored music, so combined with the other activities mentioned 12 hours is quite reasonable.

----------

I saw somewhere that Facebook could be the cause of battery drain. I can say for me this seems to be true. I deleted the app and saw a much better result the next charge cycle. I put it back on and for that cycle I was back to 4-5 hour usage. I've removed it once again, and so far it looks like the drain is reduced. This may not work for everyone, but it might be worth a try. There are also plenty of other apps which might be effected too. I suggest closing out apps when finished as much as possible, esp those which receive notifications.

I'm curious, has anyone tried using iOS 7 with just the pre-installed apps? I would love to hear about battery life in this situation.

Yeah, surprisingly under the same usage as usual, where I would barely get around 5 or so hours of usage (if not less) in beta 2, in beta 3 I'm getting much better usage of around 9 hours of usage and around double of that (18 hours) of standby when I'm down to around 5% or so. This is no worse and actually slightly better than iOS 6 numbers I've had before.

I had very very bad battery before a week ago because the carrier that I was on had 1 bar of signal at all times at where I am living, so that drained a lot of my battery and I got maybe anywhere from 3-6 hours of battery. However ever since I switched my carrier, and now I have about 4-5 bars at anytime, it's been so great! The battery life increased immensely. I knew it would improve, but didn't think it would be that much. So check your cell signal often and see if that could be your problem.

We can't go switching carriers every week to get better battery life...

My battery life had been ABYSMAL on beta 3 but I hadn't done a clean restore since I installed iOS 7 (the first day of beta 1). My phone was constantly running hot and it would only last me about 4 hours. I did a clean restore and BAM; I got better battery than I think I've had on iOS 6 (or I could just be used to a crappy battery :D)

Where in my post did I suggest that you should switch your carrier? I merely told my story which is that bad cell signal gave me terrible battery and suggested that people who don't understand why their battery is draining so quickly to keep an eye on their cell signal to see if that's the problem. If that's the problem and they find it, then what they decide to do with it is their own problem. I fortunately am in a country at the moment where I can change carriers like underwear, and I'm sure there are other countries where you can do that as well. Just because you're stuck in the States where carrier companies control your phone doesn't mean other people suffer the same fate.

I am tied to at&t when I return to the States, but luckily the reception in my area is great, so no need to change for me :)

I'm not suggesting that you were suggesting that. I'm merely suggesting that we can't. ;)
