It was likely that they found out what went wrong and fixed it without using the new iOS 7 APIs.

Comparing it to Beta 2.

I was also told not to criticize Apple Maps too harshly when it was in "Beta". Look what happened there.

As a software engineer myself, regardless of the beta stage, things usually get better. Not worse.

I will say tho, EVERYTHING else seems much snappier.

updating from beta 1 to beta 2 OTA gave me issues so I installed Beta 2 fresh.
updating from beta 2 to beta 3 OTA is giving me issues.

I can almost 100% guarantee if I download Beta 3 IPSW and install it fresh all the issues I'm having now will go away.

Did going to beta 2 fresh make a difference?

Just installed Beta 3 on my 4S, and WOW, this thing is much faster and the animations are a lot smoother (and quicker). Safari is much quicker at closing tabs etc.

Love the new downloading/installing app animation. Even works on folders. Really cool.

Beta 3 looks really nice and compared to beta 1 (the last I used, b2 was unusable because I couldn't even restore backup). I had generally gone immediately down to 6.1.4 but the new additions and bug fixes really help me keep ios 7.

There are some weird bugs in Photo app, spotify not working well (but that's an easy fix for the devs), and settings crashing sometimes, but overall it feels a lot more stable and actually usable.

I was getting that too. I think right now it's just for when you download a new app. I got that new animation when I downloaded something new

That's not an iOS Bug. Spotify isn't updated to work with iOS 7 yet.

It likely is an iOS bug, they probably just broke the volume API a bit with a change.

When you open the FaceTime app, you now see yourself "behind" the list of contacts, but blurred like when you flip up Control Center.

That's not an iOS Bug. Spotify isn't updated to work with iOS 7 yet.

Weird too, it works perfectly fine on my phone.
