iOS 7 Beta 4 headphones play/pause button fail

I have Beta 4 with the iPhone 5 and the LG BT headset. Previous to Beta 4, my pause button wouldn't work, but now with Beta 4 it does.
 
i thought i was gonna buy another earpods for a change.. but then again i tried the earpods on my iPad and thank god, it works 100%

for all who changed to beta 4 recently, please be calm and wait for beta 5 :D

I've actual had this happen since beta 3. It hasn't happened as often as it did before, but it still happens. I do agree it's annoying.
 
Just like the rest, I had this issue and had it since the first beta. Without a frustrating bug since I use the button often at the gym and such.
 
What is funny is that August 12th is also in two weeks...so maybe beta 4 was planned for 3 weeks, and the others will continue in two week increments. I can confirm the bug is new to beta 4, my iPod touch w/ Apple EarPods worked perfectly on beta 3.
 
I had this problem on beta 3. It would work if I went into the music app. Also killing and reopening music app was the workaround for me. Not sure if I've seen it on beta 4 yet.
 
I've tried using different music apps but they don't see all the music on my phone.

I use iTunes Match which might have something to do with it.
My playlist music has all been downloaded on but the other music apps only see 25 tracks of a 100+ track playlist.
 
I'm having the same headphone issue many are reporting. I thought I read that the amazon player will work, can someone confirm this? It's to play my own music through the app.
 
I'm seeing the same problem.

I thought it was either my non-standard (Bose in-ear) headphones, or perhaps because I was using iRadio and they don't really want you to skip songs... But it also happens on my own playlists.

Started for me in beta 4.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with the problem... it means they'll fix it... and I don't have to go buy new headphones like I was expecting =)

What's interesting is that the iPhone is definitely recognizing the button is being pressed. If you press the start/stop button while the screen is dimmed... it lights up!

iOS 7 Beta 4 - same problem with the headphone control button

When playing music, control button does nothing. Tried all the tricks. bummer. Not sure if it works on incoming phone calls? Can anyone confirm that?

Seems to work with incoming calls.

I am very annoyed by this bug. I've only tried using cloud based music... which is a bummer that when I installed the beta it didn't give me all my music that was on the phone when I backed it up... While writing this I put some songs on my phone... still doesn't work.

I cant get spotify to load so I don't know if that works or not.

Spotify is now working and the headphones play button works great. Seems to be a Music app issue.

I can confirm this bug exist. (iphone 5 A1429)

Oh and SOMETIMES, for a split of a second, the music app's color scheme goes the opposite. Font from black turns white, while the background turned from white to black...

very annoying.
 
Yep, experiencing the same here. However, the play/pause button works with the Podcasts app, which I am happy to see working with B4.
 
Well let's hope that this bug is gonna be fixed with b5; it's the only really annoying bug in b4 for me. :)
 
I didn't have this problem in beta 4, but now in beta 5 I can't use the headphone controls on either my iPhone 4 or my iPad mini. Dang.
 
B5 A1429 (x2)

Was working perfectly in B4 and B5 then yesterday... Poof, no control ( I have 2 iphone5's and tried in both )

The only thing I did differently dont know if this had any effect. I opened UTube (for the first time) and asked if it could access my mic. before that it worked great, after no go. I tried closing all apps and still nothing so I dont know if this was just a coincidence.

also went and swapped my headset out (before reading this)

Hope this is a short term issue as the ability to answer/hook a call with out getting the phone out SUCKS!!
