Im on beta 5 and I did some traveling and noticed the signal did at least fluctuate where expected, so it doesn't seem to be stuck at 5 bars, but at the same time I find it hard to believe that I'm getting 5 bars at home, where I used to get 3-4 max. Not really sure what to make of it.

I wish someone would post a answer to clear this problem because being somewhat OCD lol I can't pull my eyes away from the top left corner I hate that it's not showing its true signal

You can hopefully convince yourself that even when it does work properly, the number of bars/dots doesn't really mean much anyway, so it's pretty much a waste to even look there most of the time, let alone actually care about any actual minute differences.

ios 7 signal dots stuck

yea even if they dont show the exact reception having 5 dots or (bars) is quite annoying when u relly want to know if you have somewhat bad reception or not.i just dont understand why some gsm have it some cdma have it it just makes no sense it had to be because of a way were going about installing the ios whether a clean install is required or so on an so on

----------

did anyone do the t mobile carrier bundle hack before upgrading to ios 7 ? coud that mayb be it.im going to try to manually install the original t mobile carrier bundle then restore back to ios 6 an do a clean install of ios 7 ill check back when im done

ios 7 signal dots stuck

Nope just tried redoing everything with original carrier bundle and clean install still same outcome i guess its just going to have to wait untill next beta. by the way when is the next beta due ??:(

iPhone 4S, European carrier, here to chime in.
5 bars/dots and 3G at home where usually I had 3 and GPRS. This issue has remained since beta 4, through beta 5 and still not fixed in beta 6. Can you guys still access data over the cellular connection?

Ditto.

AT&T-compatible with Net10 BYOP SIM. I'm getting 4-5 dots in my house when I usually only see 1-3.

Speedtest apps are failing to make connection, or having trouble testing latency.

With the latest beta I am still showing no service or lower than average bars in my house. I also do not think that is just for show because I miss calls due to no service and drop calls when I am showing one or two dots.

Since iOS 7 my iPhone 4S on VZW has gotten worse than normal service. Again, as I always say, something could have changed outside this house, but it is annoying. I'm off contract so I will likely be moving away from VZW if this continues.

Would have thought this annoying issue would be sorted by now. Surely this can't make it to the gm

I'm running the latest Beta and my iPhone 4S always shows I have 5 bars, even in the areas of my house I know I have bad service.

I can usually tell it's full of **** when I have 5 bars, yet I get all kinds of errors in apps saying I don't have an internet connection. Sometimes I can have 5 bars and it'll suddenly drop to No Service, I sure hope they fix this.
